I like my satellite radio and even more my remote start. Dang nice in the winter with two feet of snow on the ground to walk out to a warmed up tractor, gives me time to have that extra cup of coffee!!

The only difference I see is cab (AC, radio heat) and maybe some different maint requirements. Otherwise for users in my class (not ag) it's pretty much the same for all of us, RC or flail, grapple, bucket. Same on every tractor I looked at.
I think this is a very good question. Moreover, having a forum full of people who want to talk tractor seems like a great way to take great advantage of great experience beyond your own (expensive) education.

I've only owned two tractors but even I can see some additional things to think through. Cab or open, yes, or the third option, a canopy, which is a huge help with rain and sun and snow but a small fraction of the cost of a cab. Plus a canopy gives good opportunities for mounting mirrors, a big plus with my neck. Your loader should have SSQA and you'll probably enjoy other attachments such as pallet forks. My first tractor had a vertical exhaust stack and I very much miss that on my current tractor, and wish I could have another chance to look for one with that (but I don't know if any CUTs have them these days). There are backhoes for many small tractors, which is a significant choice. Extra hydraulics? Gears or HST? Indicator on FEL?

And this might be the biggest: What brand and what dealer? Some dealers are WAY better to deal with than others. I was blown away when I discovered several years ago how much better our local New Holland dealer was compared to our local Kubota dealer. As far as I know, it's because of those particular dealerships, not the manufacturer. The point is, a good dealer can be a huge advantage in tractor choice.

I think it would be nice with a small frig that
runs on 12 volts for the cold snacks and an
electric coffee pot. Already have a small
Styrofoam cooler to keep the water cool just
need to figure out where to put it!

A loader with some manner of quick attach, 2-3 hydraulic remotes, 3 point sway bars rather than chains, and fluid in the rear tires. If you live "up nort," a block heater. Otherwise keep it simple, less stuff to fail.

7. You should buy R4 for the front right tire, R14 for the front left, R1 for the rear right and R3 for the rear left. That way you have ideal traction and floatation and load carrying capacity in all conditions.

OK, in my book, this wins some kind of award.

I have a new hero.
