For those considering purchasing a Mahindra tractor

No dog in this fight, but having made a few posts a while back and then this thread would not be a hit piece to me. Just my $0.01

Sounds like a dealer issue to me and bad dealers should be called out. He was more focused on the dealer this time, the problem last time. Not as much of a manufacturer's issue as I see this. For the price of tractors I think he due a rant.

I don't even own a dog just wondered about the timing. Agree his dealer did not treat him right.

His dealer didn't treat him right. Then when he figured out how to fix this on his own, Mahindra Corp told him they would reimburse him. I think this post is due to the time he's waited since fixing the tractor, waiting for his reimbursement from Mahindra which never came.

My owners manual has the wiring diagram in it. The tractor should have had like a two year front to back warranty (covers all but normal wear items) and the five year drivetrain should have covered all internal parts. If it was a year old then there should have been no problems for the repair not counting transportation cost's. I would say bad dealer is the problem and contacting the district rep. would be the right move. Someone please correct me on the warranty time frames if I am wrong. I had a power steering leak issue and my dealer told me to get it back to him soon as my 2 year front to back warranty was about to expire. Tractor was purchassed new in May of 2010 and repair was made end of April 2012.

Sorry to hear this as my experience with Mahindra has been exactly the opposite. Great dealer support on one minor issue. The local dealer can make all the difference.

Seems to me the fuel solenoid should be part of the engine warranty and it sounds like Mahindra later concluded that after first saying it was not. It would have been interesting to hear what part of the tractor they said it was part of if not the engine.

The "no start" fuel solenoid issue is super easy and fast to diagnose. If you were our customer, this would have been a 5 minute deal, and it would have been covered under warranty. Not sure why your deal went sideways, but that's a pretty simple problem for a dealer with any experience. I'd not just throw Mahindra under the bus for this dealer's failure. Now if Mahindra promised a reimbursement or a contact and blew that off, there is no excuse for that.

I owned 3 kubotas bx2200 B2620 with loader and backhoe and a B3200 with FEL and BH I now own a Mahindra 3016tlb shuttle no comparison to tufness and power not as pretty as kubota but much more of a work horse as my kubotas frames felt like they would flex when pushing or lifting anything at it max but the Mahindra is like a rock just my opinion as I was raised around equipment all my life.
