Good morning. My father has a little Ford 1300 he is putting a FEL on. We can not get it to do much of anything. It will go up and tilt down that is it. Please help with any info. He had a new control valve attached and is using an auxiliary block between the pressure relief and the tractor. Is this correct? Thank you for any info.

You leave a lot of details out of the story. No one out here knows what valve, what "block", how and where all the lines go. Any replies you get will be of little help.
I really would like someone to just show me some pictures of where their auxiliary hydraulics are hooked up at the moment and I can start from there until I get photos from my father the post here and the information like that

Maybe we can help. These things are always hard long distance. But here is an idea.
It sounds like you are getting close. We need to know some information on that control valve. We hope that it is the type of control valve with a Power Beyond port - marked PB - and if so, we can use that port along with the special sleeve that should have come with the new control valve.
Control valves that have that Power Beyond port takes the place of the auxillary block and makes a simpler hookup. But first we need more info.
Get some photos - lots of photos - and draw a sketch of how you think that the hydraulic system flows. The fact that yours is working at all is good.

Those darn adapter plates.... they are each one a special case. Sometimes they require a special sleeve valve that screws into the 3pt casting right underneath one of the ports on the adapter plate.
Frankly everyone of those plates was special and different. We are going to have to find a hydrualic schematic for the 1300 that covers the adapter plate. That could be difficult.
But we can attack it another way. We can look at your new FEL control valve and see if it is the kind with a power beyond port. If so, we use that port to feed the 3pt instead of using the adapter plate to feed the FEL contol valve. BTW, what did the tractor have on it to cover those ports before you started with the adapter plate?
I found a link to a workshop manual for the Ford 1300. Some good info there even though the page order is messed up it looks like the manual is complete.....but it doesn't help on the adapter plate.
I see your 1300 has a cleanable screen oil filter right above the pressure pump. Is it cleaned?
