Hello to all. I have a Ford 1710 tractor and I lent it to a neighbor:eek:, I now have a tractor that has water coming out of cylinder number 3 Hence I found this forum. I still love my tractor it runs with its removable front end bucket, a Woods chipper, 3 point backhoe, Auger, a nice Woods finish mower 72, rake and a manure spreader. Now I will need parts and advice. I am discouraged after reviewing the shop manual and a brief spin on Google for parts. Also, as many of us, I have the time but not the money

Sorry for your misfortune.

You'd be better served to start your thread in NH forum as you will get much more response. It appears that that you might have a cracked head, failed head gasket or unlikely cylinder wall failure. Did you have enough water in the cooling system? did the tractor overheat? You best scenario would be that you had an slight over heat causing the head gasket to fail, hopefully without major damage to the head. if so , then you have to take the head off, may be do a valve grinding job while you're at it, use a new head gasket and put it all together. Depending one's mechanical aptitude this will not be a very difficult or very costly task. If the head is cracked or damage that'll be different. Take the dipstick out and see if you see any sign of water, milky residue in your engine oil and report back.

good luck,

JC,
