Ford 4610SU Log Winch Setup

I would suggest a cheap Harbor Freight winch with steel cable (the winch comes with cable - a real cost saver).
I have a couple Harbor Freight winches, (12K, 5k, and 2.5K) the duty cycle on them is VERY low, that's one reason they are so cheep.

IF you don't follow the duty cycle, they won't last long.

Yep, and I'm sure being made of Chinesium, they don't have a very big safety factor on the duty cycle...

So I'm looking for something like this?

Looks like it runs off a chain drive from the tractor pto.
I had one similar to that it would pull a mountain but you could eat breakfast dinner and supper waiting on it extremely slow .i sold it to my neighbor and bought a factory build skidding winch

Well, I have decided to not buy the Chinesium winch, might just go with long cable and a snatch block.

The repurposed post hole digger frame sure works nice as a logging arch though.

I put a pic in skidding winches #21 in 2019. Check it out. Using the winch and having tongs also works well

My 575D had aux hydraulics in on the loader for a 4-in-1 bucket. I'm wondering if a HYD winch on the front of the loader is an option. Though I'd have to be in the machine to activate the HYD by twisting the loader control lever. And there is also the issue of maneuvering the 575D vs the 4610SU...

Looking at your pictures, and your woods....
I have a $50 idea for reaching in to the woods a little. If you had a good 50-60' rope (or as long as you feel like fooling with) and a rope pulley, you could tie off to a log, then put the rope through the pulley on your post hole frame and run the rope back to a close tree and tie it. Drive away until the log meets your tractor and chain it up then cut the rope loose and off you go.
I've had crazier ideas 😆 but every foot you drive will draw the log up 2' if I'm thinking clear.
