Tractor
Ford 6600
A few weeks ago I bought a tractor from an auction. I was able to get it going and on to the trailer. Got it home and changed all of the fluids and filters and a few degraded fuel lines. Bled the injectors and after a few puffs of smoke it was up and running again. I used the tractor for an hour or so with no issues. The next day after about 10 minutes of run time i noticed a knock about 10 sec apart and sounded/felt like it was in the metal hydraulic line down by my right foot/brake pedals. I got off and traced the noise to the front of the tractor. While on an incline the engine stuttered and seemed to smooth out again once on flat ground, then just shut down. I went through trying to bleed the lines again thinking maybe some air from the fuel filter change. I am getting plenty of fuel from the filter to the pump, but cracked the lines at the pump and its barely dribbling out while cranking the engine over. It has the CAV rotary style fuel pump.

One place you can check is at the inlet at the back of the pump. If your flow from the filter to there is good, you can unscrew the inlet filter and check for any obstructions. #8 in the illustration.
Be careful not to drop any of the other parts in the inlet.
