My friend told me if he wanted fuel economy he would get a pogo stick.
My biggest issue with the GM 6.6 gasser is that they only offer a 3.73 axle and 6 speed tranny. Even with the 6 speed, giving a 4.30 axle option would be a big help. While I will stick with my Chevy 2500 6.0 for a while since it does a pretty good job for me, I am really interested in how the new Ford 7.3 gasser works out. Seems real promising.
The 6.6L gasser than GM just came out with seems pretty good, but there are factors other than the engine that is causing me to watch the Ford 7.3 3/4 tons and see if they really are something special to invest in in the future.
I am awake ! the thought of spending $80,000 on a truck won't let me sleep. Anybody that don't like carbs and distributers don't know how to work on them. You spend $80'000 on a truck you better get more than a decade out of it.:drink:

Why would you WANT to work on a carburetor or distributor? Been there, done that. I can find better ways to spend my time.
