so im thinking about buying a Case 1949 SC row crop model narrow front end new paint job clean runing just needs hyradlic oil change motor oil change filter new gas plugs and wireschange to new bulbs in lights it alreayd runs great and everything works they only want 1300 for it now should i buy it?

i paid 950$ for a 49 VAC NF runner that needed paint, bondo, gas tank repair, belts and hoses, leak chasing, new belt pulley and rewireing and replumbing of oil gauge.. etc..
1300$ don't sound bad...
ps.. don't let low oil pressure scare you. the owner of mine sold it 'cheap' as he knew it needed rebuilding due to low oil pressure. his low pressure number was 10 psi on a leaky gauge with gas thinned 30yr old 10w30 oil. switching to a new gauge and new oil brought it to 17 psi.. book spec is 15 psi for that machine.. new..

so on these tractors changing oil i was told that on left side their a round peaice that i should unbolt when i change oil it has a screen that needs cleaning. is the rear end like a 8n where the hole thing takes hydralic fluid? do you no the capacities of the oil/hydrolic oil/coolent or were i can get them at?

I have a vac not an SC.. they are mildly different.
IMHO.. it should use a c159 oil filter.. that is a common case and allis oil filter.
couldn't comment on the rear oil. I know my vac uses a very heavy rear end oil. I also know there are a couple different hyd setups too.
i'll see what all models my manual covers.

i changed the oil it takes a 1080 napa oil filter 5 quarts oil i changed oil drained the clutch oil took out the oil screen cleaned that in air cleaner only thing left is plugs wires and radiator and hydralic sysstem from what i can tell it is all one system for the hydrolic fluids

yep.. walmart and tsc are the usual fram dealers here.
