Here an update on the changes made today...

While the upgrade was rather major and took quite a bit of time to complete, most of the changes were ‘under the skin’ so you probably won't notice much different. But, there are some changes that you’ll notice:

+ New Who's Online screen now displays the activity of unregistered users.

+ New edit post feature will allow you to mark your post as edited.

+ New method of tracking posts should eliminate the random logout problem.

+ Searches and new message checks have been updated to run smoother and better.

+ Many other functions have been updated to run more efficiently, and also you'll find that the forum is slightly wider.

If you have any problems with any of the features, please report them in the Feedback & More forum, and we will get to them as soon as possible. Of course, we don't think there will be any... /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Keep in mind that other major changes are also being worked on, like the ability to sort your searches, the new ‘new messages’ checks, new ‘messages since last login’ and other features suggested.

Thanks for all the hard work, Muhammad!

I looked at the new Online page about midnight EDT. I was shocked! There were two registered users, and 14 unregistered ones. Unless that was a fluke, it sure says something about the traffic on this board. That would mean there's an incredible number of "lurkers" out there.

Maybe they're all factory reps...

Wondering if there is some way to compress the width so I do not have to scroll to read the full screen?? Somewhat a problem when editing posts. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks again.

That is possible. When I was online, maybe 10:00PM EST last night, there were about 9-12 registered users and 14-17 unregistered. About what I expected. Seems like unregistered are just slightly higher in number, most of the time.

What is your resolution set to? The forum must be viewed in 800x600 pixels to show properly... that would be the normal resolution on a 15" monitor.

New changes seem to be working well. I like the width! Good to see unregistered users also. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
