Forum Upgrade - Any Issues?

NOt jumping on you about this so dont take it the wrong way, im really worked up about this forum this AM. I know you said you did not read all the pages, did you read my post directly above yours where i say there have been the same problems for weeks? Again just asking not saying you did or anything, and even if so it did not ask the same thing you did, at least in that post.

BUT since you have not followed here your a perfect example of the problems and the length of time to fix them, we (i know i did ) pointed this problem out weeks ago, nothing has been done??

No offense taken but an Internet forum should not be stressful enough that it might cause you a heart attack or stroke.

And...if you notice the post times...I was composing my post when you posted yours so I had not seen yours.

It is logical that when the forum manager (Muhammad) asks if there are any "issues" then there is a reasonable expectation that the problems mentioned would be dealt with in a timely manner. Apparently, that has not happened.

Any IE9 issues should not be happening and we can definitely take care of them if you can provide more information. I just checked the forum on IE8 and 9 and things looked good. Of course, different operating systems and screen resolutions come into play as well.

The search feature works differently now, and we're going to be implementing a site-wide google search soon to give the best possible results.

The icon issue is one on our to-do list as well.

Thank you - its really great to be able to engage and get direct feedback from the founder - many web sites have come and gone and others have done a FB or sold out to the highest bidder - I for one am grateful of all the effort you have invested in this site - we know this has been a long journey for you and your team.

We've taken care of dozens and dozens of issues and many still remain. Some issues are easier than others to fix. And as I've said before, I'm not the one doing all of the work on the forum. There are other people who work on multiple projects, and to be honest, finding skilled developers who work on this forum platform isn't the easiest task. In any event, our intention is to resolve all issues.

i think if anyone is getting worked up enough to have a heart attack or a stroke over an online forum.. it's time to turn the computer off and take up some yoga.. or go drive a tractor...

The drop-downs will return, but we have to re-work them for efficiency. We had issues with them conflicting with the video on the home page and some of the ads in the forums.
Thats good news, the drop-down is all I care for really lol , it worked fine until a publicity video was added right underneath it like you said. It wouldnt be an issue if all the icons worked, some do but NEW POSTS and TODAYS POSTS do not work even if I click with my fist.

Yep...it's still got a few glitches, but it's just a forum...

Lately, immediately after logging in, I get the following message: "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."

OK, here's one that is the same on the old format and the new format.

After opening a picture attached to a post that opens in the same browser window, then clicking the back button, you go to the end of the page of the thread you were on instead of the post you were at. Anyone else notice this? I just went and checked a few threads and now it seems that the return is correct, thank you whoever is responsible!!

Yes, that happens when you click into a thread that has new posts. You'll see in the address bar a #post2937831 (or other number) at the end of the URL. This jumps you to a specific post in the thread. As you read through the thread, you scroll down, but when you click back the URL referenced is jumping you back to the first post that was unread.

The only way to prevent this is to always click through to the first page in a thread (if a thread has more than one page).

It would be really nice if the "Selected Threads" flyout div on the thread subscription page went up rather than down. It would save a lot of unnecessary scrolling, especially if one doesn't keep a lot of subscribed threads in their list.
