We use them exclusively at work in surface mining on all our equipment. They're used on everything from drills to pit loaders to haul trucks to ready mix trucks and I have yet to hear of one that failed...and we're in one of the dirtiest professions you'll find. I'm using Deere filters now myself, but only until my warranty runs out...don't want to give them any reason not to cover something. But that being said, I've blown out one Deere oil filter already, with only a few hours on the machine.

Have you checked around @ your local heavy truck repair/parts shops? If the don't carry them they may be able to order them. Definitely worth looking into

ToneTone,

As other member have stated, Baldwin is a well built filter & is used in heavy duty industries as you see. Also very popular with over the road semi truck engine people. Wix is popular as well.

What one has to watch for is buyouts of these companies by cost reducing conglomerates that cheapen the design and / or manufacture. Word has it Baldwin outsourced at least some filters to China, and Wix was sold by Dana Corporation to somebody (don't recall the name).

A sad commentary on our times when price & profit become the primary consideration for equipment.

Personally, I use Wix filters.

I have no need to. I have what works for me and my 50 or so customers.
