My brother and I went to the JD dealer Saturday morning to test drive some tractors and qualify for our free chairs. I checked out the 4310 eHydro and it is a fine machine. My brother has a 5105, so he wanted to test drive something a little bigger (see attachment), but the sales guy said it didn't quite qualify as a CUT! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Bob, and other MN JD fans,

Any dealers in the Twin-Cities area that anybody knows of who has a 46 backhoe for the 41xx on their lot? I would love to get a close look at it to decide if I can live with the lack of a quick-attach and incompatibility with the MMM.

I guess alot of this depends on where you live and how far you want to drive. Here are 3 Good Dealers to call / check with:
- Northfield Tractor - 800.272.0687 - Dick Roth - they are closest dealer to me and they have quite a bit of stuff on the lot. They might not have the backhoe, though, but they are well enough connected to tell you who does.
- Northwoods in Aitkin - 218.927.2140 - Jake Stockard - Jake is a great guy and they are the largest JD dealer in Northern MN (better than Isanti and others). Jake can track things down for you - they have 4 locations across Northern MN (Aitkin, Brainerd, etc.). I've worked with Jake on my bucket/pallet forks/etc. acquisitions and he's been great - he'll find it if it's out there and they are well connected also (where Northfield hits more ag business, these guys hit more home/commercial/utility/CUT business).
- Polfus Implement - (888) 533-3735 - this is another large Deere dealer (both AG and home use) - but I've never worked with them. I have spent alot of time on their lot in New Richmond WI when I visit my relatives (all farmers - they buy their Deere stuff there).

Where are you located in MN? That will certainly have something to do with it. Jake is great at working the system to find and get you things (plus their price is right too). Northfield is only 15 minutes from me - so I've got a great relationship with Dick Roth and I do most of my service/parts/etc. there.
