From a B3030HSDC to a Toolcat?

Not to be a downer on this nice piece of equipment, but in the long run I see it as being an overpriced 46HP fuel hog marginal lawnmower.....

SkyPup,

How much are these? They seem awesome!

Thanx

SkyPup,

Ohh, you sound jealous!!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif It seems that your emotion is overriding your sensibility...so let me point out a few observations.
Keep in mind, it has a Kubota engine (the 56 HP Turbo is extremely efficient as you can see for yourself) [image]http://www.kubotaengine.com/curves/V2003-T-E.htm[/image] , can attach more attachments than a tractor (without any modifications), seat more people than a tractor in extreme comfort, it is safer than a tractor (lower mass, ROPS & FOPS, better visability, etc.), carry more in its bed than a tractor (what bed on a tractor?), and that high price you are always touting...How much is a Toolcat? Good Luck and Have Fun,
Steve

HorseForce,
Welcome to TBN! Yes, the Toolcat is awesome, I do agree.
Pricing on this unit, seemingly, is only for the rich and famous /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif (some that know little about these industrial strength machines would have you believe that all Hollywood types are given one at the end of their first big hit movie/show/gig!) /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
All kidding aside, if you shop a 56Turbo HP Toolcat to a tractor with cab/Heat/AC the pricing is very similiar (High 20s), if you get every option known to man, you pay accordingly. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Hope this helps!

I think it's time for this thread to be moved to the Construction discussion.

Jim,
Sorry for posting in the Kubota area; we have been requesting our own forum. Maybe you can help us in our efforts.

I'm not jealous, just sensible.

As Rolando personally knows, if anybody is apt to go overboard and get the most heavy duty equipment available, it is me. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But who needs 56HP for mowing 5 acres, which is what this equipment wil be doing 99% of its lifetime? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I would think Bobcat/Toolcat falls into "Other Tractor Brands" or "Construction Equipment".

If you have been keeping up with this thread you may recall that Rolando has stated that he will be clearing this lot and cutting his lawn...and for this, the Toolcat is well suited. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Furthermore, the two seat design is ingenious. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif His desire to take his granddaughter and dogs pre-empts him from any mere tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Good Luck and Have Fun.

Hi Jim,
I've actually been suggesting that the Toolcat be put into the "Related Equipment" category, since the Toolcat is also extensively used for grounds maintenance, so Construction wouldn't be appropriate either. It could also go under "Other Brands/Equipment" I guess. I suggested a forum under whatever category is picked, titled "Hybrid and Other Multi-function Utility Vehicles". I've sent Muhammad several emails, to which he has responded favorably, but I also posted this <font color="blue">Thread</font> under the "Other Forums-News/Feedback" to give others a chance to comment. Maybe you and others could chime in there.

I've also felt, for quite a while, that this was not the appropriate forum for this discussion. But there wasn't any other good place to go. I've submitted some posts into the "ATV & Utility Vehicles" forum, but that's not a good place either, since most utility vehicles can't lift 1,500 lbs, or carry and dump 2,000 lbs, or haul 4,000 lbs.

Maybe others who also feel this topic should be sent packing could add their support on the thread I mention above.
