from scratch homemade loader

Im building a loader very similar to Bal0123. Just curious as to what everyone is using for the base plate that attaches to the frame. I have several ideas, but I want it to be strong, cheap, and not too heavy. I was thinking of using channel steel, but its very heavy and expensive, yet strong. What is everyone using? Thanks so much.

Well done. I'm curious why didn't you build one for that nice Yanmar instead?

You can go here and look at the loader I made for my Bolens. Have yet to find a different engine. Have all my hyd. cyls. on and painted, I used Merc I/O trim cyls., the old style. After I find a engine and I can hook everything up. Hope I can get it all done before I myself is done. Maybe you guys can get some ideals to use as you build yours. Just have fun building yours, I know I sure have.
