front tractor tires

I need a set. Size 25-8.50-14 commercial tread.. They are running about $175 locally for each tire plus install of about $15.Bobcat wants about 2 bills for each tire. The last set I got a little less than 2 years ago and paid about $225 for both. I know tires have gone up but this seems a bit much.

Maybe the set you got recently and need to replace now were cheap Chinese junk and that's why you are shopping tires now. Tires have gone up a bunch: compare brands & ply ratings to get a valid comparison. If you don't know what BRAND and PLY tires you are pricing, you can't determine the value.

What are you doing to wear out a set of tires in one year. Are you travelling a lot on hard surface (black top or concrete) and maybe keeping it in 4 wheel drive. No way a set of tires would wear out in a year of normal tractor wear. By commercial tread I assume you mean R 4 tread which is Industrial tread.

I run a rotary mower for hire. I am in all sorts of areas, but very seldom on blacktop. I got 2+ seasons on the Bobcat tires and I am going to get about the same on the Ebay tires. I do run in 4wd almost all of the time.
