Hydraulic Hoses - Tractor Supply??

Are the County line hoses any good?

I busted a hose on M4800su's front end loader, tree shifted - my fault..... Funny / Sad - same unprotected hose I busted 15 years ago pushing logs into a fire. At least no fire and no flame thrower action this time.

A handful of tractor shops in the area can probably build me a hose - but 15 years ago I paid over $40 for this hose and prices have gone up like a rocket since then.

Tractor supply has a hose I can use under $20 plus about $9 for a 90 degree fitting to make it fit nice.

Should I give it a try or steer clear ?

Lots of opinions out there on using (or not using) readymade hoses, for various reasons. Are they the greatest product available? Hell no! But are they worth what they cost? I think so. I've used them many times in many applications, loader hoses included. Have I seen one fail because of inferior quality issues? Not yet. Maybe if I wait around another twenty odd years I may see it, but by then I probably won't care. I had a custom hose made last week at the local Parker distributer. (well known bandits, granted) 3/8" hose, less than two feet long. Had some form or other of metric female straight swivel fitting on each end. I can't identify the style or name of the fitting, but fits a Takeuchi skid loader. They had the ends on the shelf, made it up quickly, and only charged me $108 and change.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Think I’ll venture $30 to save $70 or more. If the county line fails without a reason then I’ll learn something and either way I’ll try and follow up in a year or so.

You can purchase a couple of hoses ready made for less that one that's made up so purchase 2 ea just in case
