Re: Fuel Prices! I Should of listened to my advice

Hey everyone...I got this a couple weeks ago and thought that you all might want to consider all this..

Subject: Where do you buy your gas???? think again
Why didn't George W. think of this? Gas rationing in the 80's worked
even though we grumbled about it. It might even be good for us!

The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor.
An
interesting thought it to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up the

car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia.

Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the
Saudis
Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I
fill-up
the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my
family, and my friends. I thought it might be interesting for you to
know
which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major
companies
import Middle Eastern oil (for the period 9/1/00 - 8/31/01):

Shell................ ......205,742,000 barrels
! ; Chevron/Texaco....... 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil............. 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway.. 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco................ 62,231,000 barrels

If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18
BILLION!

Here are some large companies th! at do not import Middle Eastern
oil:

Citgo....................0 barrels
Sunoco............. ..0 barrels
Conoco............. ..0 barrels
Sinclair............... 0 barrels
BP/Phillips.......... 0 barrels
Hess...................0 barrels

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy
and
each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they
are
importing.

They report on a monthly basis. Keep this list in your car; share it
with friends. Stop paying for terrorism.............

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas
buyers.

Re: Don\'t believe everything you read...

Ben,

Thank you for setting this statement straight. I hate it when I'm wrong but hate it more when I'm wrong and don't know it. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I was going to delete the post but figured that someone else may or already has received this email and then can find out the truth here. Thanks again. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Don\'t believe everything you read...

Heard on the news today that Florida and several other states are opening an investigation into price gouging on gas and oil.

Yep, bottled water is a rip-off. Isn't "Evian" spelled backwards "Naive" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif We are for paying that for water. To get to the fuel prices, they are higher than I'd like. My dad always said that the economy can be judged by the prices of gas, milk and bread. If that's the case, we need to hurry up and get this war over with or give up the chase because the economy isn't looking so good!

Re: Fuel Prices! I Should of listened to my advice

I just returned from buying off-road diesel in Martinsburg, WV. Sticker shock - $1.49 a gallon. Good golly Miss Molly!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

The last time I bought some it was under a buck a gallon!! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I just hope that we do not get much more snow... cost to much to operate the tractor... would be cheaper to feed a bunch of teenagers. No... wait, bad thinking... fuel is cheaper... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Fuel Prices! I Should of listened to my advice

Yep, Terry, fuel prices are getting right on up there; I've noticed the service stations around here have prices of $1.559 to $1.619 posted for regular gas and around $1.719 for diesel (not off road stuff of course).

Re: Fuel Prices! I Should of listened to my advice

I looked at diesel fuel when I was filling up my pickup yesterday. Diesel #2 was 1.89.9 per gallon. But then we haven't gotten any snow so I don't need any fuel.
