Fuel prices!

You guys have it good down here in the US, tonight I pumped 30 gallons into my F150 for $90. At home that same tank of gas costs $170-180. However our diesel is cheaper, it's a tax thing at home.

Found regular gas for $2.97 in downtown Austin last night and today I saw diesel for $3.55 in San Antonio.
While touring the Toyota Tundra plant, I found out the trucks are delivered with exactly 2 gallons of fuel...

I know that I'm here and (the majority) you're there but, count yourself lucky.

I've calculated the price here for 1 US Gallon = $5.98 for petrol and $6.21 for diesel.

You're living in a fuel paradise compared to elsewhere.

I just paid today $1.40/L for HHO which works out to $5.29/US Gallon, that is with the hose tax included. Retailer says it is $1.239/L + 13%HST. I say it is $1.40/L that is what comes out of my pocket so that is what I pay.

I also paid out $1.51/L or $5.71/ US Gallon for high test gas for my heep.

Diesel in southern Ontario is rarely cheaper than gasoline and usually runs 5-10 cents a liter more.

Somebody with a diesel pickup with a near empty 36 gallon tank will be down $360 if they fill up in Italy or Greece.

I filled up yesterday, at 7-11 and diesel was 3.99. 87 octane was 3.89, and 91 octane was 4.15.

I filled up at Buc-ee's in New Braunfuls Texas yesterday and it was the best tank of fuel I've had in a long while. I don't know if it was "ethanol free", but my mpg on that tank went up from 22 to 26.

Are you implying that a thread in which people post the price of fuel where you don't live or plan on traveling to isn't valuable?

Small gas company with 4 or 5 stations in the area sells cheap fuel, but they throw in so much biofuel (for which they get subsidized, though only 20% biofuel is minium mandatory) that i dont want the crap in my tractors anymore. in a car i fill up every 2 weeks, but a tractor can take whole winter to burn a tank of fuel when only hauling some big bales to the sheep. Then the bacteria grows, turns your fuel into snot, pluggging up filters and, if you have common rail, causing expensive damage to the common rail system.

I have filled up 13 times in the last 6 days over 3400 miles and have found that GasBuddy is wrong 50% of the time. The problem is that station owners seem to update their prices lower than they really are and their competitors higher. Many station prices don't get reported or have already changed by the time you get there. I like the idea, but the app has been a disappointment lately.

I have found it to very accurate. I have been using it for 3 years and can't ever remember it not being accurate.

You must have good reporters. I try to update prices when I get a chance. It's either really good or really bad.

It may be just coincidence, but about 3 weeks ago our local WaWa market jumped the price of diesel to 4.099, 20 cents above everyone else, even their other stores in the same county. I could go down the street and get diesel for 3.899, only 3.5 miles away and a place I pass by at least twice a week.

I wrote WaWa and told them so and that they had lost my business until the price dropped. I got a reply and the standard excuses. But then, 2 days later the price was back down to 3.939, and no one else had dropped their prices.

So I don't know for sure that my (and maybe a few others) email made them rethink their prices, but I'd like to think they were listening.

Well, got in from work, filled the old fuel burner up, 3.89 for diesel here in Pocahontas, AR. Gas is 3.16! LUTT

Here in N.S. diesel is $1.50 a liter, now to convert to US $ that would be $1.5/l times 3.78 liters (1 US gallon) = $5.67 Canadian dollars, wait, since our dollar is not at par anymore it gets better. $5.67 divided by .9 ($1 Canadian will buy .90 cents US) =$6.30 US/gal

Today, at the same 7-11 I gassed up at the other day, 91 was $4.29 and diesel $3.99 still. Prices are everywhere.
