My second p/u Chevy 4x4 final was in the red zone and scream for fuel,so off I went to fill her up and also my diesel tank.
Reg unleaded has gone down 6 cents and is $1.53 gallon.
Diesel gone up 11 cents gallon since the first of November now paying $1.73 /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Like any hoilday fuel prices go and than slowly come back down, but diesel goes up and I yet to see the price really go back down. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

What you folks paying for fuel prices?

Thomas, I don't want to sound aloof but I don't pay much attention to the prices. There's not much I can/will do as a result so I tend to ignore it. Don't need that element of stress in my life. I pay more attention in the summer when I'm riding my bike just to know how much I'm saving by not driving at all.

We sell our gas at $1.65 full service but expecting a delivery next week and the price will go down about 4 cents. We don't sell diesel but I think the off the road diesel I get is around $1.50ish, haven't gotten any for almost three months.

Derek,
Does your come from the coast.

Kinda strange if I travel to Claremont,NH {20 miles away}gas selling between $1,47 to $1.51 /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif an they are name brands, but diesel prices are still the same as up here. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Looks like this so call snow storm going to be a powder puff storm...but as the weather station said 50/50..oh well just got to what and see. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

We carry Citgo brand gas. It gets delivered from Albany NY. Yeh, the storm is a wash, But anytime there is a low of the New England coast, I expect anything. We have 14F here this morning not to bad. Another cup or two of java never hurt /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.

i think we have the cheapest fuel cost in the state, maybe the U.S.; as of yesterday, there were 2 stations selling regular unleaded for $1.17 a gal. and off road deisel for $1.00...i didn't notice what the main deisel was..sorry.
its all come down 15-20 cents a gal in the last couple weeks.

Thomas ... like you I was shocked! Gas was $1.35 in Midland (Mich) yesterday ... $1.39 in Saginaw on Tuesday ... and I got a can of diesel 'cause there's more snow coming. I had to pay $1.54 (farm use, no tax) for diesel ... and the last one I got was in September at $1.05.
And here I've been complaining because I can't get a decent diesel car in this country.
To make it worse ... my propane tank was just filled ... $450 (usually around $200)
Glad they didn't get that bankrupcy bill past Slippery Bill ... these fuel prices may have many up us belly up!

too bad that common sense ain't

Here in the Triangle area of North Carolina I've been paying about 1.59 or 1.62 per gallon for a long time now. It was down to 1.59 this week. I think the price may have spiked a bit higher but I would have to check my log to make sure. If I travel to my JD dealer which is 30-45 minutes west of where I currently live, I can get the fuel for at least 10 cents cheaper. I'n not sure if that is because of local taxes, fuel distribution factors, or just local greed.

The cheapest I have ever paid for diesel for my 1995 truck was around .95 cents in GA.

Harv,
Full service does exist some places, but not like when we were growing up. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
Fill your tank..wash the windows..check the oil..and words of kindness.

Had to pay $1.239 for gas today; last tank was $1.209, but most places are a dime higher, and on road diesel is still about $1.539.

Yeah, and for about 3 years I was the guy who did the service and handed out those glasses and green stamps./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif What a racket Sperry & Hutchinson had?

Straight unleaded can be had for $1.15 a gallon at some stations around KC. Oregon used to have a requirement for full serve gas in the entire state. That wasn't full serve like the old days, just some attendant pumps it for you. I don't know if they still have that law.

A little late getting to this post, better late than never.
Lately I've spent so much time in the truck I haven't even noticed prices on unleaded.
The Fina where I normally fill my truck, has diesel for $1.45. Truck stops East of San Antonio on IH 10 are close to that. At one location where a Trans America and a Flying J are across the highway from each other, they sometimes battle and I've seen it go down to $1.37. An Exxon has it for $1.48 and will deduct 10 cents/gal if you pay cash.
