I like the steel cans, like the Eagle brand, Bailey's has them but now they are about $100. At that price you might as well buy a fuel caddy or maybe the "fuel station" from Blitz.
I really like the no-spill CARB cans that have the side handle to hold them while the spout is in the gas tank, then push the spring-loaded plunger to open and let the gas or diesel flow.

I can also buy them at a local Kubota / New Holland / Stihl dealer close by.
In my opinion, they are the best for not spilling and for easy of getting the fuel in the tank.
