Gas Grills

I have the older version of the grill they sell at Sams Club. If you are seriouse about cooking outdoors this grill can not be beat for the price, you would have to spend well over a $1,000.00 to get something with the same performance. I have been a Chef for many years and love to cook outside. This grill will get hot and stay hot, it has commercial burners in it. Cooking is like tractors, weight counts for things that you don't see on paper all the time, all that steel helps to keep your cooking tempature constant regarless of how much or how little you put in. This is a heavy unit. I know the Webers last but I don't like them for 2 reasons. They are to light weight so they don't hold a constant tempature when you load them all at once, and they don't get hot enough. I like to cook some of my steaks (rib eyes) very high and some of my other meats (pork and chicken) very low and constant. The only problem I have had in the past 5 years is one set of burners (I use my grill in the winter so the burners get wet quit a bit) and a regulator. I have 3 different friends that have seen my grill and when I tell them how much I paid they went out that week and purchased one.

I picked up an 'Aussie' grill this past spring at Walmart (Lowes also sells them). Basic gas grill....3 burners (meaning no rotisserie sp? or side burners). 10 or 15 years on burners, heavy grids, very well built. Also had to be one of the simplest grills I have ever assembled as each component/step came in a seperate box. Bit on the heavy side at around 150 lbs. About $350.00

I'll put a plug in for the Weber too. My parents have had one for almost 10 years, and it still has the original burners in it! My dad just power washes it every spring (or sticks all the parts he can in the dishwasher) to clean it up.

I have an indoor grill on my Jenn-air range top, so my outdoor grill isn't the greatest. Should I ever buy another outdoor grill, it would be a Weber - hands down.

I have a Bakers and Chefs grill from Sam's. I think it is made by Grandhall. It has cast iron burners and grills, gets incredibly hot, and cooks very uniform. It also has a back burner for the rotisserie. A very well made machine, and food tastes real good when cooked on it. I think it was about $500 -$600 at Sams a couple of years ago.

have to agree with the guys weber makes very fine grill, so do a lot of others, don't think u have to spend $1000 tho(unless a french chef comes with it)/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif. for our use i like a plain dual burner , dual control large grill, i don't care about all the othe stuff, small side burner is ok, but i like 2 shelves and condiment rack, but grills are like tractors. EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT NEED.GET A BIG ONE! WE WILL ALL BE THERE WHEN U TRY IT OUT. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

The Kubota of gas grills

If Kubota owners don't appreciate a bomb proof grill, then I don't know who will. I bought a really nice, $1000 grill made by that I highly recommend. If you like what you see, you (and I) can save $100 if you tell them <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.kazez.com/~will/TopGrill.html> I sent you.

It really annoys me when companys do that. It seems that instead of giving kick-backs, they could just come off the price by $200.00 and sell more units. Metal Building manufacturers (like Steel Masters) do that, and that's why I didn't buy from those guys. It just gives the impression that their prices are inflated, and they know it.

I certainly don't disagree with you. I'm not crazy about companies that give senior citizen discounts either, but I'm prepared to change my opinions in about 15 years.

This really goes against my philosophy of "buy it once," but when a 100$ BBQ lasts 2 years, the math isn't that hard.

I like to cook and i'd love a nice gas grill - but I have other priorities (like more implements /w3tcompact/icons/love.gif).
