GC1705 Replace grease fitting

Hey there, I had one f my grease fittings come out on my backhoe so i wanted to buy a new one to thread back in so i got 1/4-28 straight but they dont seem to thread in.

Does someone know exactly what I need to replace fititngs on the GC series tractor?

The manual for the "tractor" states its all METRIC, it would be reasonable to think implements are METRIC also ( my FEL - DL 95 is ), so probably backhoe is too....

any thoughts on size though? cant seem to find these details.

1/4 looks right so would i just look for 6mm ones? that gives me right thread?

6mm would be pretty close to 1/4 inch..... probably best to get metric thread gauge to check thread measurement...

I tould appear the is only two standard thread pitches in 6mm, "M6x.75" and "M6X1"....
