I used a cub cadet tractor muffler - big improvement. Less than $20 including the steel nipples, elbows and ubolt.

Is the Cub Cadet muffler much bigger than the original one on your unit? I have a Generac 5000W unit that works great except for being VERY LOUD. The only thing I would want to avoid is a big muffler that sticks out significantly more than the original. Don't want it to look like some kind of a Rube Goldberg creation ya know. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

"Rube Goldberg"! Boy I wish that he was here to customize my tractor... talk about a MChaulky cup - it would brew, refill & automatically feed the drink to you when needed & only require a couple additional hydraulic valves & an upgraded alternator... Sometimes I feel that my projects end up being so much more in the processes than is actually accomplished.
