Getting Kubota TLB L46. Need some help

Not sure where your from but in CA yes, if you tow a trailer with a 12k GCWR you are illegal unless you have a Class A. Anything towed that has the weight rating over 10k lbs requires a Class A (can be a non-commercial) no matter what you tow it with. And yes you can go down to your local DMV (at least here in CA) and have your trailer de-rated to 10k lbs (its actually 10001 lbs that makes you illegal without a Class A) to be legal, then they will re-print the registration with the new numbers and you can then change the tag on the trailer. Good for you to buy something rated well above what you intend to haul.

Anything?

Duffster,

Which one of these best fits your trailer - you do have a trailer for your MF?

Given the amount of dialogue in this thread it would be nice to see your tractor and towing rig as your profile is a bit vague in this regard..

Thanks

Sure did.

You sure there is no limit on a RV trailer?

Well acctually Duff, there is now similar restrictions on RV's here in CA. I THINK it says you can tow up to a 10k GVWR tag trailer with a Class C and up to 15k GVWR fifth wheel with the proper endorcement, and a Motorhome over 45' requires a non-commercial Class B. These laws are fairly new and very unenforced at this time(till someone kills someone). So why do you care about that anyhow?

Man Rotor REALLY nice set-up's you got there. Just curious, why a L45 and a B26? You able to keep them both busy out there? Good for you if that's the case.

Thank You HUTCH, The B26 is gone now. And still have the BX2230 & L45. I am able to keep both busy. I do alot of brush hog work with the L45 and the BX2230 is for home and some side jobs.

I was trying to show I actually do own and haul stuff and work with equipment not just play one on the Internet.

As you can plainly see. I also have a 30ft travel trailer I haul around camping with the family you can see it in the back ground of the one picture.

I am pretty well up on the rules and Reg's here in P.A. ( AT LEAST I THOUGHT I WAS )

P.A strictly enforces the rules and Reg's here.( D.O.T ) is out in full force, a few years back we had a guy hauling a wood chipper illegally and not properly secured and it came loose going down the highway and Killed a Father & His to small children. ( Very sad ) But since then things changed and in there eyes Ignorance of the law is no excuse no matter how you try and bend or twist it. With them this is how it reads and that's it.

One more thing I forgot, I am a aircraft technician buy trade and have been for 25years. When it comes to reading rules and Reg's that our government writes you better know what little words like ( If , Or, To, And, Is ) mean. These are words that will get you in trouble if not defined right. Remember a president that said one time ( It all depends on what your definition of ( IS ) IS. If my memory severs me right he was impeached.

Thanks

I have trailer that would work for both of those.

Look around I have posted a picture of one of my tow rig combinations. Not that it matters.

One of the combos I use the most is a F350 with a 14k GVWR gooseneck trailer that I could drive in any state in this country without a class A or CDL.

Sorry if I don't list every truck, tractor, trailer, implement and 3/4 inch wrench like some here do.
