Glow plug indicator light on

Hello all, have a 755 JD tractor. Got it running but notice that the engine preheat (glow plug) indicator light stays on continuously. Tested the circuit as per repair manual, results suggest that the engine preheat module is bad. Does anyone know if there is a way to test the module itself and if so how. Module cost $100 and would like to be sure before sinking that kind of cash into it.

Reckon I'll be buying a new module. Removed the electronics from the casing of suspected bad one only to realize that the circuitry is a computer chip, resistors, and transistors on a circuit board. When I use to work on heavy equipment and diesel engines for a livin' in the 80's, solenoids were mechanical back then. How things have changed even in the world of diesel engines!!!

Success!!! Got the new Engine Pre-Heat Control Module and installed it. Indicator light comes on for <8 seconds and glow plug is energized for <30 seconds. The glow plug circuit works like it should now. Next step will be to change fuel filter and bleed any air from the fuel system, grease the fittings and put this tractor to work.
