We were clearing fencerows last year and came across a stash of old fertlizer bags. At the time, we used to go to the plant 15mi away with the pickup, and get fertlizer for planting corn, and of course what to do with all those plastic bags - set them aside on the fencerow with a rock over them. This would have been in the 60s, so 60yrs ago. What we found looked like new. A trip down memory lane.Well I do not smoke, so no, the world is not MY ashtray.
Yes I agree, I get just as pissed when I see someone throw their butt out the window as I do when they throw their coke bottle out.
At least all the junk along the roads can be seen and picked up to be disposed of "properly". But what does properly mean - more hidden?
There is a driveway to one of the fields here that is just far enough away from anyone that it seems to attract would be dumpers. Finally I just started hauling all of it out and set it by the road - as in- damn near on the road. A furnace and pile of tires among other things sat there for two months before someone (county) came and got it. The thing is, everyone around had to look at it, all of it, including the yayhoos that did it.
