Texas, Houston/Pasedena area specifically ... back when I was working as a pipe fitter's helper.

In my "neck of the woods" we did not even have a MacDonald's 35 years ago much less a welding shop with pretty accessories.

Well ... I dunno that we have very many MacDonald's establishments around here even now ...

However we are pretty flush with McDonald's burger joints ...

In any event, it is definitely a collector's item and could be quite valuable. :drink:

Maybe I'll ebay it and upgrade ...

Good morning, 39F heading to 63F. They say it will be 72F on Monday. Going to finish up my son's roof on Saturday and hopefully get the pad poured for the new shed on Sunday.

41 this morning and headed to 69 today. We too will see a warming trend till next week. 80's by Monday. It's back to the chicken coop probably another 10 hours of tractor time in there. Then switch implements and spend another 4 hours. It gets old. Back and forth, back and forth.

I'm waiting on the coffee to finish dripping, so I figured I would go ahead and post early today. I have last night's football game Q'ed up on the DVR to watch while I'm doing my cardio. Outcome is probably not in doubt, but I need to watch something while I'm sweating. Nothing scheduled at work tonight, so I can get into whatever I decide on. The last little bit of mowing still needs doing, plus the leaves need blowing off the deck under the oak tree {I know, not the smartest placement} out near the crossroads.

Good morning! Foggy and 40˚ with a high of 60˚ today. Ordered a Cyclone Rake to deal with my endless supply of oak leaves. It should arrive some time next week. Back on topic, I will go mow my neighbor's 2 rough acres for him. Actually, they are not that rough, but he let them grow too high and his tractor is broke, so I will go bail him out. I can almost hear his wife getting on him about letting it get that tall. Waiting until after 8am so they can be gone to work and I can have some good daylight.

I remember driving down Red Bluff and to my surprise, there was a local chapter building of the KKK in the early '80's. And I was brave enough to shop at the huge Fedmart with a black friend...or was it crazy enough? Anyhow, we both survived.

Wind is kicking up more than forecast, so will ride early today. Wednesday's ride hear rate peak hit 211 bpm, not quite sure why, typical peak is more like 160-165 bpm range. Average is still only 139. Leaf containment after the ride.

I now know why you have such contempt for things down south. 1 more thing, there are no putzes down here unless they are displaced northerners. We did have a super talented pro wrestler on channel 39 named Ivan Putzky. I saw him do 1 armed push ups with a big guy on his back. Strongest man I've ever seen. He was no putz.

Good day here. I got a call at 5:30 am, that the rental place had no water. Got there, water works fine. No power outage that I can see, no clocks blinking or anything. The place is on a well, so no city water to shut off. Worked fine a few minutes ago, so hopefully, it was just a odd event...I don't believe in that much. My wife will be home soon, she will inspect the paint job in the bedroom, if ok, then we will put that room back together.
