Weed spraying today. Hopefully this kills the majority.
I have a electric golf cart with a 16 gal NE broadcast /spot sprayer rig in the back.
Makes it fairly tolerable. All this rain in CA has made a booming weed crop.

My factory job in sixties, my boss’s boss had an XKE. I’d drool coming to work in my 60 VW bug.
My boss had a 12cyl XKE convertible in 1971-Gray. Gorgeous!
I was allowed to take it out once to go to his house in the country and get something.
:sneaky: :p:cool:
Well I pushed it as hard as I could being 17 yrs old. There was a S curve over a bridge. I lost it on the bridge coming in so hot the car did a 360º spin on the bridge and squirted out the other side  without a scratch on it. Lucky SOB >
I just babied that thing back to the shop ... and went home to get some clean drawers

Happy Easter !

59F and "Fair" @ 16:00, high today was 59.5F. Heading down to around 34 for the low overnight.

Was up in the shop last night until almost 03:00, was in the comfy mid-80's most of the time I was up there yesterday.

Most of the cardboard and paper has been burned up, making it a little easier to move around in there.

Got electrical box for 110v outlet installed on outside of metal enclosure. wiring run for outlet, and outlet installed. Used a scrap piece of 14-3 I had up in the shop and grabbed a new outlet from the house for that.

Filched a 4" 2-gang box from the barn for the junction box inside the metal enclosure.

Got holes drilled in box for VFD mounting screws and got VFD mounted.

Verified that the yellow 12 gauge cord will work for the external on/off paddle switch to start/stop saw.

Hardware store did not have correct size ring terminals (hole for stud too large) for wiring VFD power leads. Think the screw size is an M4.

Finally located rubber bumpers I wanted to use to mount metal enclosure. That was after I had gone to the hardware store and bought other ones of course ...

Hardware store ones on left, ones I already had and finally found and used on right:

Got got holes drilled in metal enclosure and saw cabinet (which I hated to do) to mount it:

All drilled holes have been deburred.

Think I will probably give the outside of the metal enclosure a coat of paint before it's installed for the final time.

Still need to drill the holes in it for ventilation before I can do that though. Might do that later today.

Have four 4.75" grills for computer fans due in tomorrow from Amazon to hold the Scotch-Brite pads which serve as the filters.

No big dinner plans for the day.

Woman is actually over taking of pets for neighbor who was out of town but is now back. Neighbor's son fell and broke his femur day before yesterday and is in the hospital. Cat scan revealed he has tumors in both legs. Not good.

Hope everyone is having a good Easter ... (y)

Started out cold this morning but warmed up to 60 this afternoon.
Had a good day with kids coming over.
RNG, you never know when you buy what you may get into. Good you were able to learn about neighbors.

Saw is really looking good, RS

Thanks.

Pretty happy with how it is turning out so far.

Great job RS. I"d have electrocuted myself by now...

Thanks.

Hope electric fence solves problem of critters munching on things they shouldn't.
RS that saw will be better than new. You are doing a great job restoring it.

Thanks.

Glad you are making progress on the dirt work and got to enjoy red buds. They're not quite out yet here ... but we're certainly looking forward to it ... ;)

Nice work RS looks better than new

Thanks.

Hope your back is doing better and heals up real quick ... (y)

How do you suppose all that glue got everywhere, RS?

Saw belonged at one point to a local shop here that did a lot of laminate work. Suspect it was caused by cutting lots of glued up countertops where the glue was not fully dried/cured.

That and general carelessness when they were applying contact cement.

Saw is really coming around nice.

Thanks.

Nice new ride, relative here has one that looks just like it that she recently bought within the couple of years. Seems very happy with it.

Hope your search for new digs is successful in short order ... (y)
