Good morning! 50˚F heading to the low 90s with W and S winds, partly cloudy.

Off today so I can act retired. Warranty guys, on the new pool pump, will come out next week. it keeps shutting off after running for about 10 minutes. Bid came in to paint the trim on this mostly rock house and it is very acceptable.

Today would be a good day to refurbish the large arched metal front doors.

I looked at the neighbors pool cover and will get one next year. I'm loosing the battle with the leaves.

Good Morning Again,
Here is a pic of all the Trex decking I picked up the other day at HD ! Along with the favorite tools I use to rip up the old decking Dennis ! 30 , 12 ft lengths of grooved boards and 6 lengths of plain edge for the outside !

57 this morning forsythia starting to bloom spring is springing, maples are coming out early color everywhere.

Slept but didn’t sleep last night have to sleep on wrong side. Very alone in the house but going to start cleaning up piles.

Hopefully hear some more news on Holly today.

Got out the saws and bucked the tree that fell on the trail and another one at the edge of my neighbors field. Got most of the trail one cleaned up, more to go still.

Dennis, nothing but hard work, if I don’t say so myself ! The Vermont deck is screwed down, it will be a bear ! I have a couple flat bars and a 3ft wrecking/crowbar ! A back belt should help a lot !

I turned 2 over, bottom looks like new, only stripe of where joist was.
Joist tops look good.

Happy, that is one huge tank ! I’m guessing, 5000 gallons? Sounds like you will be using some gas to cut the ends out !

A sawzall with a good blade works as fast as a torch for cutting up tanks in my experience. Also much less chance of a fire or explosion caused by the previous contents.

I never thought of that. I am going to have help cutting so that would be a good idea for another pair of hands. Thanks PG!!

Yep.

I took a chance on a sawzall in a confined space with lots of dust floating about. I was using an angle grinder which threw too many sparks out for comfort. A welder was out of the question.

To my surprise the sawzall was better than a hot knife through butter. Faster, lighter, no mess and the blade was good enough for a lot more cuts.

Why I did not think of using that sooner, escapes me.
