Good morning!!!!

Good Afternoon Dennis,
That’s an idea but a lot more work ! These 12 footers were $30.96 each, that’s about as rich as I’m planning to go on this job ! 😉 I still have all of the deck under the porch to do after this, but that might wait for the fall !
maybe less work, I only need to remove existing deck boards where the sleepers go, the others could stay, but might make some nice wasp nest areas if left, so probably not a good idea to leave them. I wouldn't have to put in the 2 new joists needed to window frame the deck. Looked at Lowes, they don't carry much trex, and the ones there were crazy bent. Did get zip tape. did not pick up a 4x4 as there were no carts to be seen, and they all looked like archer bows anyways....
did get hair cut, not motivated to do much else.

pot of beans made as a gift for friend's porch
a few beans and a little lettuce planted in garden
likely to freeze, like last year.
anything before April 15 is taking a chance.
lettuce should be fine and I'm planting radishes in two weeks.

When I went out to pay the township, the snow was still too hard to do anything with. So that job is on hold until maybe tomorrow. Saturday and Sunday the powers that be are saying anywhere from .75" to 1.5" of rain. Could be some flooding. The ground is still froze.

Drew, I kinda thought you were a youngster, by three and a half years. :ROFLMAO:

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 16.9C and it's presently 25.1C, lightly overcast & calm.

Well, the plumber phone call didn't happen so I'll 'remind him' later on today.

What with yesterday's rain, I was able to switch the horse troughs over to the 'tin shed' tank from the 'house' tank. Even though I was wearing ankle length work boots and jeans, I still managed to 'pick up' a bloody leech on my calf!

A very happy BD to you Drew.

That's about it, take care all.

wagtail, do you smoke? The heater of a cigarette will get them off. Salt will work too to get them leaches to let go.
Strangely enough, I quit smoking about 4 weeks ago... but I smoked a pipe.

The problem with the leeches is that they're painless. I only notice them when they drop-off and I start bleeding profusely. If I were to find one I'd go with the salt treatment.

It's been so dry here that they were simply waiting for a decent rainfall to 'feed'.

Good morning,
24° now and cloudy, clearing as the morning goes on, highs in the low 50’s, winds light and variable.

Nothing accomplished yesterday other than having the truck break down. After a quick run to the store engine light came on and would barely run. Did make it home and parked it, was to aggravated to deal with it then. The last time it did something similar it was the MAF sensor, hopefully something similar this time. Will see what codes it’s throwing when daylight gets here and it warms up a bit. Would love to replace it but even the used market around here is outrageously expensive.
Not sure what else today will bring just take it as it comes.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy
Prayers
