Good Morning!!!! 71F @ 7:30AM. Partly cloudy. Areas of smoke and haze are possible, reducing visibility at times. High 93F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
You're a better man than me, Eric, to go two hours with that pole saw, especially wearing waders and in the water. And the longer you make the thing, the more it takes to loft it. I'm good for an hour at most unless I police up the branches as I go, which gives me a little seat time in the RTV to rest. But like you, I can't seem to avoid the aches and pains the following couple of days.
Yesterday about 4PM the "clouds" to the west started to thicken, and by 5 o'clock the sun was gone entirely. It was smoke from the Mendocino complex to the south, thicker than I've seen it before. It's still hazy this morning, but prevailing winds are from the south and I expect another dose as fire intensity increases during the day.

Here's the latest, Kyle. The little red square in the back window is the temporary license tag, good 'till the middle of next month. With all his employees gone, the mechanic has one less excuse for being interrupted. If he continues to drive his customers away, he'll have none at all.:confused2: But hopefully I'll be down there this afternoon or tomorrow for more drive testing, but first he needs to formulate a plan for resolving the issues with the engine computer fault codes. We shall see.
In the mean time I'll keep chipping away on the old BMW; yesterday I got the other bracket roughly mounted and the two bags aligned pretty well. Today I'll see about fabricating the missing passenger foot peg mount (the factory incorporated it into the old muffler that I'm not using). So out comes the cardboard and marking pens and scissors to make a template, and then when that's working, duplicate it in steel.
There's what looks like a thrush industriously scratching duff in the back yard; I should follow it's lead and get a start on the day. Hope everyone has an industrious new week!
