Rest in Peace
I remember when my parents got a morning newspaper and an afternoon paper, but never 2 mail deliveries.
Dallas used to have The Dallas Morning News in the morning, and The Dallas Times Herald in the afternoon.

One of the neighbors got new gun yesterday a 17 HMR Savage. It looks to be a nice little gun. That was the first time I have shot one. It made a nice three shot, quarter inch group at 30 yds.
good morning all.
jury-rigged...I've always heard it as jerry-rigged and see that both are used, depending on locale.
Billy, you are probably right, but growing up in a family of lawyers, who interestingly rarely saw a jury, all business lawyers, that term
was the one remembered. A Jerry was a gas can, right? So you rigged up an extra gas can for ? sure there are a zillion stories here.
Let's see, there are a few seriously non pc terms that used to be used, usually referring to some third world reality.
And I admit that I grew up hearing some of those words, often in relation to cars. What different ethic or racial types did with their cars.
Some words should die off...
but never Rube Goldberg. Did you know that Rube was a Berkley graduate in Engineering? With a serious sense of humor
I wish I could send some humor Buppies' way, we are all pulling for you. And Ed, hope your day went ok.
off to doc's this morning for flu shot, they still don't have the Shingrix shot available, I'm on the waiting list at local pharmacy.
Speaking of that, Toppop, hope you are healing well. BTW, Randy, did you drive that four wheel oddity you call a Gazelle? Purists would sniff from coast to coast, but there is always a market for something outlandish and fun. I'd like to see a Gazelle park next to a bunch of Morgans in a parking lot in England, all driven by elbow patched tweedies. Talk about culture clash...
Always a good car for a parade. Looks like you have a great car talent to help others with.
74 going up to 86 in fog, I'll be mowing lawn today.
Yea! I'm not as old as I thought.
Beaver, on "Leave it to Beaver" was sitting outside his front door waiting for the "second mail". Does anyone remember when the the USPS delivered twice a day?
