Good morning!!!!

67F .06 inches rain last 24 hours.
Back on the roof this morning, remounting my solar panels.
Neighborhood gathering/potluck this afternoon.

Great surprise in that contrary to what I was told, the health clinic called with my lab results, described as very good. No need to go back on Lipitor. I had taken myself off the generic statin due to lower leg cramping.

Be warm and safe out there.
Have a great day.

Good Morning. 1045, sunny, 51F with 63% humidity. Forecast high of 57F this afternoon, and a low of 37F tonight. It feels cooler today than it did yesterday. We have some gusting winds this morning.

I've been at work a couple of hours, and have got my 2 miles walked. Even did a little extra to make up for last night's supper. I dread to see the plate that my customers will bring me tonight. {it will test my will power} It is a lady who has her birthday parties here every year, and they do the southern/soul food very well. This year's party is for her 62nd birthday and retirement. It looks like it is going to be a pretty big deal. They worked on decorating and food prep all day yesterday, and will be back in the kitchen shortly.

Someone was nice enough to drop off a puppy at the house during the night. I heard Mocha barking and a puppy whining at about 0130. She is a real cute and fuzzy blonde. Margie posted pictures on Facebook, so maybe we can find a home for her. I don't want anything to happen to Mocha, but I do want to take down the back yard fence. So we are not in the market for a new dog.

Great news. When I got up to 250, I was on Lipitor and high blood pressure medicines. But with just a modest weight loss and exercise I was able to get off both. I'm about three months overdue on my six month checkup. {my Nurse Practitioner left for an office in Marianna, and I haven't got around to calling her new office. My boss started seeing the new NP at the place I used to go, and she really likes her, so I'm leaning towards seeing her} But I think I will wait three more months to make it a even year. And if I could lose a few more pounds by then, that would be even better.

51 degrees and cloudy with showers, supposed to be snowing by 3 PM, I doubt it. Still fighting this pneumonia, what a butt kicker, I feel OK until I start to walk or do anything then, wham! No air.

sorry you are feeling crummy Randy.
Don't forget the medicinal rye. Administered by your doctor of course...

/ Good morning!!!! #19,367
I just had turkey on rye...No? Let me try again.:D

Randy, your breathinng symptoms and mine sound similar, but for different reasons. I'm afraid my COPD and chemo is dragging me down. It sure does not take much for me to become completely winded. My weight also seems out of control with a gain of 10 lb per month since November.:ashamed: I think inactivity is largely responsible because my diet has not significantly changed. I'm looking forward to springtime and more physical activity.

Been to the doctor Monday and yesterday and ER on Tuesday. Right upper lobe "mild pneumonia", I'm sure glad it's mild!
jinman, I understand, I can gain weight in a hurry this time of year. My wife has a form of copd from receiving massive radiation for Hodgkins in 1982.

well there is a nice little dance going on outside my window. The best kind.
A tractor dance.
Two Case tlb's are whizzing around scooping up the huge mounds of snow and getting the worst off the street.
beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beeeeeeeeeeee
ok, you can go away now...:confused2:

of course my side of the street was already cleared, though not well with my broken snowblower. Next year
I am putting the big dog eater snowblower back on the Gravely rider, and there simply is not anything that won't chew through.
It really hogs up my garage but it will be worth it. This winter was just too much. As the snow comes down yet again.

Have been marinating some steaks and will cook some fresh veggies for dinner and eat properly watching the sleet/snow come down. the temp is dropping so tomorrow is going to be slick city.

emergency sirens, almost constantly. Folks are spinning out...

My little red car got stuck in my own driveway on the flats near the gate in what seemed to be 4" solid slush (fully premeated with liquid water, yet popped out in bricks when a square metal shove was used.

I had to borrow a 4x4 from a neighbor to go get my girls and bring them back to my house.

Today I must free my car...

David

Isn't it fun when you've got one vehicle stuck, another vehicle there to tow it out, and you're the only one there :)

Just make believe you are like Kobe beef, and your wife can give you a rubdown
using her best medical techniques. :D
I can see you are feeling better already. Better color. :p

speaking of Kobe beef, and dinner, I have to figure out something more interesting to do other than steam broccoli.
I mean steam, and then what? Dump herbs on it, butter or whatever, usually the add ons are unhealthy or calorie laden.
Need to get it into a tomato sauce of something, something other than same old...
I'm not much for ranch dressing, and most of that stuff has an ingredients list that would likely work preserving tractor rubber.

Lemon. Capers. white wine, drizzled over. Ought to have fish for all that effort...but tonight is a nice filet wrapped in bacon.
can you tell I'm hungry? time for a few pretzels...

Good afternoon all. 28F cloudy and 30% chance of snow. Working on moving prep, todays project is closet cleaning and painting.

Randy hope you get better soon.

David (Moss) hope you get car unstuck and have fun with your girls.

Jinman have the same problem put 10 lbs between working a desk and cold weather :(

Drew, as you know if you ever look at 'What's for supper????', I live off veggies most of the time, and very rarely put dressing or sauce on them. My favorite seasoning right now is Webber's Roasted Garlic and Herb. I also like their Smokey Mesquite if you want to add a little fire to something.

I overcooked the meat and the vegetables were the pits. :stirthepot:
Tried to do the steaks on an inside griddle and they were juicy but not even pink. darn. Just too nasty to barbecue outside, sigh.
Otherwise, I made some nice bland food I can tupperize and take over to my MIL .
Snowing out, at least an inch so far, getting colder, not a good Sat night to be out and about unless one knows how to drive in this.
And even then...

Larro, thank you, never ventured into that thread.

I've been trying to steam all the veggies and they just aren't very appealing when they are done.
Not enough of the essential food groups of sugar, grease and salt...

I KNEW this was going to happen, the eventual morphing of the "Good Morning" thread and "What's for supper"..... Hit a high of 25 degrees today with full sun, felt really good. The GF and I have plans to go grocery shopping tomorrow....AFTER we hit the local Goodwill. Yesterday while there I found this beautiful 78 inch tall, 42 inch wide, 24 inch deep oak entertainment center for $39.99, hauled it home and am converting it to a wardrobe cabinet for our bedroom. It still had the $799.95 price sticker from 1996 in one of the drawers... oops that's from YESTERDAY morning, so I will skip ahead to tonight's supper menu...baked fish and nuked spuds once again. Sure wish I could afford steak every day...oh, by the way, daugen missed the fourth essential food group....ALCOHOL.

not to worry JD, opened a nice bottle of chardonnay, needed a little to cook with and of course one glass for the cook...
so I suppose it wasn't a total loss..;)
