Kyle, I won't even post much to this thread. I feel so sorry for the folks up the east coast fighting cold and ice. I kinda feel like there is not much I have to add, considering how good our weather is. Anything I say sounds like bragging.

Dude!! We seriously need to hear of warm weather somewhere!! We need hope, a vision that someday, the sun will shine. In Michigan, it doesn't show it's face for weeks at a time.....

18 here now...a high of 19 predicted with clear skies. We did get a dusting last night.

Well, the drive and walks are fairly clear. I did get my tractor stuck clearing a path to the woodpile. The toughest thing was walking to the outbuilding for a shovel. Getting through knee high (or more) snow with a gimpy leg is challenging. If there's time after clearing the deck, I think I might put the chains on the Deere.

I didn't plow out anything today, just the shoveled the front walk. I am going up to my wife's shop to put a small heater in there, one of the furnaces is not working right. I need to get the insurance company guy out there, they are supposed to be fixing stuff.

Good afternoon. 1625, sunny, 70F with 34% humidity. Forecast low of 40F tonight, and a high of 73F tomorrow. We got out and walked over to the shooting house to change out the SD cards in the game cameras. My shorts were fine as far as the weather was concerned. Not as good when the sharp toenails of the stray puppy came into play.

I noticed the huckleberries are budding out. You know what they say, hope springs eternal.

Good evening all. 32F for the high, was an overcast raw day. Freezing rain tonight and tomorrow morning, then temps in the 50s !! More normals temps will return but no 20 below normal in the forecast.

Tomorrow looks like a repeat. There are probably some small drifts in the driveway to clean up tomorrow.

23 here at MFW, at least the muddy driveway is driveable when frozen solid... I have to say out of the 126 hours on my tractor, the 7 or so trying to get my driveway and easement clear enough to get in and out were the least rewarding. Cold and bitter, and I'm afraid the driveway is a disaster that will need loads of gravel and many hours to repair.

This is also the LEAST fun snow ever as with 15" or so and big hills, my kids and I NEVER got to play in it. I did not get them until Friday evening, and it rained on the snow Saturday and Sunday it was refrozen hard as ice and was not much better... so NO SLED TRAILS...

I will quit complaining now (for the moment).

Got a big week here. My boss is really unhappy with me. Overall the numbers are down everywhere in my biz, but my terrible stressful disaster of a year has taken its toll and He clearly sees me as the weakest link, or blood in the water, or whatever, but it seems I am on a "Performance Improvement Required" type of plan for the first time in my life. I have chosen to look at this like I'm going to benefit from some extra training and will come out better for it.

The other thing is tomorrow is my first "mediation" session with my soon to be Ex and I will maybe get to learn what her demands are... maybe learn how difficult the NEXT stage of my life will be... Friday we will have been seperated for 11 months...

The good news is last week I booked my biggest order yet, just in time for the end of the quarter, My kids and I seem to be getting along well, I'm not living in someone's basement, and Spring is only 1 month away (from this Friday)!

I'm off to ST Louis tomorrow evening for a couple days of customer meetings. Nothing like some orders to improve my image with the Bossman...

Dave good luck with the job situation. Oh I feel for you and know the ups and downs of sales. For instance in December I had the largest booking for one on my Principals, nearly $859,000.00 got a call from the director of sales telling me not to miss the show in San Francisco with a hint hint. All that means is I will most likely get salesmen of the year award! After letting them know I was having a knee replacement the president wanted to know what their alternatives are to replace me in the territory. Goes to show it isn't what you did yesterday, but what will you do for us tomorrow. Certainly destroys the meaning of TEAM! Hang in there Dave.

Lot of folk I know are walking SAD poster children. Winter blues for sure. Spring is coming. Hold that thought.

local weather just updated. Tomorrow, 1 to 3 inches of wet snow, but the next day up into the forties and fifty the following day.
boy that's going to be quite a meltoff...so at least Mother Nature will assist mightily in cleaning off my driveway.
