Good Morning,
I slept in late this morning, was on this site reading posts till 2 am. Addicting! It is 67 now with 81 to be the high. When I went to bed we had a 80% chance of rain, now it is 30% and sprinkling outside. I wanna be a weather forecaster, even when you are wrong you are right. LOL Someone is coming by to pick up the kid goats we sold. They went fast this year. I will miss the little guys running around jumping.

60 this morning and headed to 73 today. A quarter of an inch of rain last night and this morning. Still raining. Well I mudded through mowing the yard around the house yesterday. Had to skip a few spots got stuck a couple of times. But it mowed not pretty but mowed. Spent more time working on the mower than mowing though. Wound up being a carburetor clog. Would run fine till loaded. A bottle of carb cleaner fixed that. Then trimmed some trees so I could mow closer to them.

It's raining today so I guess it's a good day to service the wife's vehicle. Not much else going on.

Good Morning. 0840, overcast, 69F with 100% humidity. Forecast high of 79F with 100% chance of a thunderstorm today, and a low of 67F tonight. So much for the cool day forecast yesterday. We hit 82F before the rain cooled it off. My back kept me out of the garden, but I'm going to try to tough it out this morning. I have chili peppers and tomatoes that need transplanting, plus two more blueberry bushes. It's looking like the rain could get here any minute, so I had better get started soon.

Later on a trip to town for the week's shopping. Have to get some insulated wire to run the electric fence from the charger on the back porch to the fence. Mocha couldn't stand me working in the yard without her, so she dug out. {She also decided the best place to dig a hole was where one was already started. Luckily I had just planted a row of blueberry bushes so she had an easy place to dig} Since it has been a couple years since I had to use the electric fence, I have lots of work to get it in shape.

Hope everyone is having a good day,

Larro

55F earlier this morning, headed for a high of 82F under cloudless skies. The winds are supposed to be tapering off going into the weekend, but the temps will be up another five degrees as a result.

Headed into town this afternoon for supplies. The hot weekend will bring thirsty house guests and I need to stock up on ice and beverages. Also hope to hunt down some string lights so no one breaks their neck wandering round in the back yard after dark.

The Ex wife has been dilly-daddling on her review of the final docs (not like she can change them now) and I'm still not quite single yet... Sigh...

But I've caught myself making plans and dare I say it even Dreaming about the future...

Decisiveness was not my soon to be ex-wife's strong suit, either. But this week a new attorney discovered "irregularities" in her court documents that will hopefully lead to a rapid conclusion of this mess of a marriage. I feel your pain, David, and share your hope for a brighter future.

Eric, Did Mr Weaver maintain heritage varieties?

The well chitted potatotes are in two boxes, no labelling, so who knows. I guess it will all be down to the taste in a few months time.

He certainly had well maintained machinery and some of those are heritage pieces.
On Saturday they are having a sale of his equipment. This is the auctioneer's catalogue, typical of that produced for most farm dispersal sales in this part of the world.

TW sale 1.jpeg ----- TW sale 2.jpeg ----- TW sale 3.jpeg

Weather looks set to be good for Saturday so there will probably be quite a crowd there. I now have two days left to practise keeping still with my hands in my pockets for when the auctioneer looks my way.

Eric Salop

If you happen to note any prices of the key equipment, could you post a few so we can see what values are? The 20% tax would sure knock prices down over here.
