Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Low of 34 this morning, going up to mid 60's. Didn't get any of that 50% rain chance yesterday, it all went East to Texas and Oklahoma. No predictions for precip for the next 7 days....when will the drought end?

Knee was really stiff this morning after doing errands yesterday. Doing my stretching and ROM exercises, then maybe some time moving about outside.

Ron, congrats on selling the backhoe so easily. Sounds like someone got a great deal.

Randy, hope you feel better, take it easy today. Enjoy the cruising.

Don, I can almost taste and smell the cobbler.... Well I googled your area. For some reason I thought you were around the Sweetwater or Abiline area. I used Giddings as a destination point and it would be about 725 miles each way.... Probably a bit too far, would end up being a 3-4 day adventure. Oh well....

Everyone have a great weekend, hope you all get some spring weather! Prayers sent out.

Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 6:30AM. Sunny. High 79F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

Awoke to a stereo blasting from the garage a few minutes ago; I think the place is haunted:eek: Didn't phase any of the house guests at all; it sounds like a lumber mill out in the great room!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend...

All the Good Morning chicken keepers are really pampering their flocks this year !

That looks really sturdy Kyle, look forward to seeing it all painted. Are you making the pull out litter tray from your stockpile of titanium ?

No. :) but there was this 48" x 96" sheet of copper that was maybe .031 thick that I had my eye on. But some guys decided to waste it on a microwave experiment.

Kyle...nice chicken coop...I didn't know that chickens drink Bud Light.

The phoebes are nesting under my shelter again...I had to scare them off to get to my splitter. Since it was in the 30s yesterday, I still had the urge to cut firewood...cut a couple of the last dead trees I had found and then split and stacked on a pallet I had just built a frame over.

Shot a field vole with my .22 and took it with a couple of strawberries (in case it is vegan :) ) to the fox den. The vixen was standing there yipping to get the kits underground.

Have a great day.

They like Bud light with Lime when working up a sweat.

Do you really have strawberries to spare some for fox kits? My family devours strawberries. I believe they could eat about 5 acres worth of production. I want to know the secret to growing those big fat one's that are used for dipping in chocolate.

It was 28* for the low this morning. Had snow showers tell yesterday afternoon, most of it melted. We got about 3 inches. Today is going to be in the high 50's with sunny skies and some wind.

Ended up going to Rock Springs with the neighbor to get stuff for his trailer. We got back just before it quit snowing.

RoyJackson... I have one of the S&W Model 17. I traded one of my brothers a 35 MM Nikon camera for it back in the early 70's. It was about the only pistol I could hit any thing with. It was my go to rabbit gun. One of my grandsons has his eyes on it. He will get it in a few years when he gets older. I seen one in 22 mag I wish I had picked up a few years back. They are nice guns.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
CWB.

Looks great. I'd love to have one. I wonder with the small barrel, how it would handle the heat of long continuous plinking.

Got a haircut. Need to go work on coop. Also need to decide what else to plant in the garden....not a big fan of okra.

Unless you're rapid firing...such as dumping a magazine as quickly as possible, I don't think there's any concerns about the barrel getting hot. After all, this is a target gun...

Today started out a clear and sunny 30F with anticipated temperatures to get into the 60F's. I see a good run of dry weather ahead.

A great day for the "Dump Run" and further "ride test" copilot Brogen. We learned today he could not successfully bail from a partially nor fully opened rear Tundra quadcab window. His failed ejection certainly impressed a postal patron. It impressed me too :(. We returned home and I got that :censored: window back up, but it no longer works so "well.":( Test #2 went better; I could hear him protesting from the post office. Test #3 after a 30 minute ride he tolerated my disappearing act into the local feed/petfood store for more birdseed and more breath "Greenies" or at least I could not hear him. The return home went w/o incident. This may be an expensive learning moment.:( The sad thing is is that I have BTDT before at the PO. That time my St. B. broke into the PO looking for my wife. That impressed a lot of people too.:eek::eek:. Luckily the Postmaster loved St. B.'s. Live and learn.

Don- Thanks for the cobbler recipe. My wife makes really decent fruit cobblers depending on what is available. We get few if any home produced apples, peaches, or berry products; but the local wildlife is well fed. Despite the profusion of wild strawberries I never get any :(.

Ted- It is great to read that the ROM is improving and you are exercising decent self-restraint on the PT.

Randy- I hope that your upper respiratory illness stays there, does not go lower, and passes quickly. I hope that you have a good time with your and Ellen's cruise and carshow.

Ron- Thanks for sharing your deer picture.

"Thomas think winter is about done with you I'll bet you are glad"- Buppies I agree. I still have snow in my woods and shaded areas, but Winter is over. I see quite a few more frosts ahead, but no snow.:D My yard is a total disaster; much worse than the usual eyesore.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all and hope that everyone has a decent weekend.

66°F and another .63 inches rain. Looks like today will be a repeat.

Cottage tenants had a productive meeting with their architect/builder, looks like they will be our tenants another year. Good for us, a bit discouraging for them.

Ordered a replacement seat for tractor yesterday to replace the replacement. I managed to break one of the metal brackets and the vinyl has a big split. Was just gonna duct tape, but the replacement will be a better fix.

Prayers for all

Be safe have a great day

A chain harrow would smooth that area out very well.

A great shot would have one lying on the ground.....

even better would have it on my barbecue grill
and the rest of the herd divvied up at the food bank.
Every last one.
bah humbug too :D

Now Jay, that picture of someone knifing the snowman, what kind of deep seated psychosis would drive a person
to use a knife? Why not a shotgun? A blowtorch? A 24 inch Stihl? Each would show certain nuances of aberrant behavior,
based I'm sure on some childhood trauma.
Did the school psychologist every have to call your parents regarding cruelty to snowmen Jay?
Did they find and help your inner angst Jay? I'm OK if you're OK Jay.
More tomorrow, on How the Doctor Feels About That show.
