Would flying first class help ease your distaste for airplanes, Drew? I never cared much for air travel, either, but when I compared it to the time needed to cover long distances on the ground, it was easier to tolerate. A good pair of noise cancelling headphones helped, too.

I was going to fly business class, more room but the issue is heights. Pretty high up there....
Plus I have to check baggage and the total experience is just a miserable ordeal. Thankfully rarely had to fly for business.
And my late wife and I would take cruise ships out of Bayonne NJ and Baltimore to avoid connecting flights.

When I was in fireman training and had to climb a three story ladder and swing out onto a roof ladder, handing on for proverbial dear life,
I was afraid of the guy below me and my bladder control. I get vertigo really easily.

MRI's, what a treat. I've probably had a dozen due to neck and back. And all upper body so you have to go all the way in.
I asked for an open one and they said they only had a larger sized enclosed. Thought that was cheap...I know they have one in that complex somewhere. I'm sure it's all about what Medicare/BC/BS will pay for.

I just don't get it. Will all our sophisticated tech, why can't they design a MRI that doesn't go BANG BANG BANG at high decibels? Why not make the magnetic part more electronic... Or is the R for resonance in our ears and heads?...

hours of running errands downtown, brownies were well received at food pantry,
muggy and sticky out with showers now coming this afternoon, maybe.
I want to paint outside but can't, guaranteed fastest way to make it rain.
Might be able to do a little fast dry latex painting on the wood gazebo.
It would be cool, no pun intended, to have a big solar powered ceiling fan in the dome of the gazebo.
Solar powered by those new shingles that are actually solar panels.

Smoke is much reduced today, answered prayers brought some winds to clear some out. The 3 air purifiers are running still to try and get smokey smell out of house. I need to get my replacement deck plans finalized and materials ordered.

The farmer that rents our land should be harvesting the wheat in the week or two, yield looks to be down this year.

Recent years my wife has not wanted to get many peaches or fruit because she didn't want to process them (can, make jam, etc) so we just got what we wanted to eat fresh. This year, she got a couple 20lb boxes of peaches, liked those, got 3 more and two boxes of blueberries. She decided she could can some and make jam. She is going to get more peaches today and some blackberries. It is nice to see her interested in this again, she loves having some home canned fruit occasionally. She even did some peaches ready to make cobbler in gallon zip lock bags and froze them. Easy to pull one out and make a desert then.

Drew, I would go with the cheep seats if you fly, back next to the "black box". It's the safest place on the plane. :)

Don, Were you talking about the song or the Jimmy Dean sausage commercial? :)

69°F and .13 inches rain, most of which came prime mowing time so the area stayed too wet to mow, maybe this morning.

Afternoon semi annual dental cleaning and check up.

Drew, that’s some good looking veggies. So did I understand correctly? Unless you find appropriate wife you’ll be abandoning us in 2 years? Sounds like we need to mount a serious TBN plan to mitigate. I know a never married late 40’s girl in NYC and a briefly married early 60s yo in SC, but dare I risk playing matchmaker?

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Great pic of the golf goats.

Drew can't abandon us by moving, we are the virtual Morning Group, he'll take us along on his nationwide search. We may even get to vote!

Good morning! The heat was broken yesterday by clouds, lightning and a few drops of rain. Whipper did not try to jump the fence when the lightning booms hit. Whipper was allowed to sleep all night outside after being inside for two nights for excessive coyote barking.

77˚ heading to the hundreds every day till the end of the month. Painting and mowing in the AM. Spinning in the PM.

Still waiting for the Lee county Sheriff's report to come out in the paper to see what dastardly criminal was roaming on Kyle's place. Giddings Times and News should hit the stands at the grocery store 11AM tomorrow and my Mom will get the paper in the mail PM on Thursday. Of course Kyle's wife will pick up the paper at noon tomorrow so at 12:10 PM Kyle will get a call during his lunch and at 12:30 will post and the mystery will be solved.
Ha! Don knows his GT&N stuff.
I had a big long reply typed up and lost it. Darnit.
Have a blessed day.

Went to see Mom and walked past her, didn’t recognize her, totally unresponsive and drooling, sunken features, etc...
Not sure what’s going on with her, she’s at the hospital now getting tested. She seemed fine Sunday. There is also the cruise ship curse going around there today, hope I avoided that!
