I’m with you. I hate oil furnaces and boilers. Gas or heat pump for me. Air to air heat pumps are getting a lot more efficient, especially the mini splits, with SEER’s in the high 20’s.
I couldn’t make sense out of your graph, it was to truncated in the screenshot, but looked like it would be interesting.

That was a temperature chart from my system. Displays on a web page. I guess purple is my downstairs unit, I should label them better, lol

I chart a running Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly chart.

RNG, I have owned exactly 1 Norton. A 71 Commando. For whatever reason, I simply could never take a liking to that bike. To this day, I avoid Nortons. It did handle great, but, IMO, most BSA痴 handle great too. I can deal with a BSA, but not a Norton. Not even a big fan of vintage Triumphs other than the somewhat unloved wet frame bikes. They are considerably better bikes than their reputation. Especially the late bikes with disc brakes. I did put some miles on a 76 T140.....still miss that bike. If I was gonna stray too much on British brand, it would be to a Velocette. I am fascinated by them. It hasn稚 helped that the 3 I have ridden were well set up and worked brilliantly.

Yes Kyle, I learned a lot about tuning from flat track. Never had the current 塗ot set up, had to make do with older equipment. What I learned about getting a Bul to live and be fast, was trying to get several riders transfer points to the junior class. I used to take it as a compliment when people started threatening to put up the money to tear the motor down. Never happened, but was threatened more than once. One night, a guy got in my face about the Bul being illegal and he was gonna have it torn down....I told him: 泥o it, the bike needs rings and we need the gas and beer money to get home? He stood there staring at me with his mouth open, abruptly turned and walked away. Never heard another word that night about being illegal!

I deleted the link because some might think it political, but long story short:

The CDC has issued a wide-ranging mask mandate for planes and other public transportation starting next week.

From the article:

Masks must be worn at train and subway stations, bus terminals and airports nationwide, as well as on planes, trains and other types of public transportation in the United States, according to a far-reaching federal public health order issued late Friday.

I think that’s a good idea, as bad as I hate more regulation.

I owned one BSA, it wasn’t a flat tracker or any other racing bike though. Just an old 650 with a big bore kit and stroker crank kit. It had a 36” front end with four, fork mounted rectangular lights before they were legal, pull back bars and a ridiculous sissy bar. Could barely turn it around on a football field. That was in the era of Easy Rider though. It was much quicker than stock, but almost every other bike I’ve owned would have blown it into the weeds, except my 125 Honda and maybe my 450 Honda.

Same.

And I think you are correct as far as more folks getting onboard with the vaccines, once they see there are little to no side effects for most (crossing fingers)

We won't get 100% like you say (as much I as would like that) ... but hopefully we'll get enough to put the crush on this thing.

LOL ... TBH, at this point, I'd settle for them getting the kooks who think it's their mission in life to dissuade folks from taking the vaccine, to stop causing vaccine center closures and preventing those that actually want it from obtaining it.

Thank’s that is much easier to interpret. It looks like the median loop temp is in the upper 30’s when it’s running. I would think that is below the sweet spot for a heat pump, but I have very little experience with a closed loop system.

good morning all.
Buppies hope your day improves.

weather forecast more challenging this morning. Prior 7 inch forecast now 13 to 18 inches, starting this afternoon.
All I have planned for today is domestic, wash and cleaning.
Need to remember to bring the shovel in from the garage.

tomorrow morning will be quite the winter wonderland to wake up to, and then it will snow all day long.
So tomorrow I get up and dress in about ten layers of clothes and head out.
Oh to have a cab tractor...
However I'm sure the snowblower will work fine if I take this storm in two passes.

Since the snow will cover my normal picnic table feeding station for the birds, will fill the feeders to the brim
this afternoon. I bet they stock up today, their version of our five loaves of bread...
Bill is probably chuckling to himself...you rookies!

Freshly brewed coffee smells good. 24° with light snow this morning. Heading to 31° with snow ending in AM. Did some house cleaning with my aunt yesterday. Some of same stuff today.
Woodpecker is happy I put out a new suet cake.

Mostly, front glassed in porch/solar room. was designed to get warm when sun is out during winter months. When is low in the south. Because of roof overhang no sun enters room during summer months. Problem is Michigan does not get enough sun to pay for it during the winter. I used it for my office when I worked.

Rich and others, like the bike talk.

Kyle, glad sons bike had a easy fix.

Buppies, hope your repairs are easy fixes.

Thomas, that a good sized herd at you place. Have not seen any deer at my place during daylight hours since pictures a couple weeks ago.

Don, sorry for freezer DOA.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

If I was gonna stray too much on British brand, it would be to a Velocette.

I have long lusted for a Thruxton. Sadly though my days on street bikes are all behind me. The only bike I still have is a vintage Fantic trials bike.

Good morning, the temperature is -2°F and going to a high of 12. Wind ENE 13 mph. Sunny.

There is nothing 'pressing' to do today, so I will conserve energy.

Thank you for the explanation, BEF.

More regulation is something that no one wants, but at least Dr. Biden is doing something.

Have a safe day all

<snip>
The 4052 has the filler on the left rear fender...about 4.5-5 feet off the ground. Since I don't have the upper body strength on my right side (since the stroke), it's going to be a bit more difficult to fill the tank. I guess I'm going to have to get either some type of pump or siphoning device so I can leave the container on the driveway surface.<snip>
Have you tried a clear plastic tube?
I've put the can in the FEL, put the container in the FEL, lifted the FEL a bit, started the siphon then stuck the other end of the hose in the tank.

Good Morning
21 with a high of 28 forescast. As Drew pointed out, snow is supposed to start today and continue until Tuesday with significant totals. The current guess is over a foot. I think that they just make up the numbers depending on the bread and milk inventory. I guess French toast is a popular snow day breakfast.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, but cold. I picked up a cart for a mig welder at Harbor Freight for $39, adding to the cost of the welder that was given to me because it was broken.
IMG_5652.jpg

Took the little airplane for a tour of the neighborhood , it’s always interesting to see what new development is going on as well as just seeing the lay of the land.
Worked on the speaker a bit as well, got the crossover and connection plate done.
IMG_5651.jpg
Then went over to neighbor’s to help him with the generator he acquired. It’s a really nice Cummins/Onan 60kw portable diesel. Switchable between 120/240 single phase or 120/240, 120/208 and 277 /480 three phase. He wants to use it for standby power and wanted help setting it up. I can’t believe the deal that he got. It came out of a major drug company facility because it wasn’t tier4 compliant, and had 150 hours on it. He got it for about the cost of a 22kw Generac air cooled standby!
IMG_5654.jpg

Tractor is backed into heated shop and ready to go, maybe I’ll get to try out all the new LED lights.

Still radio silence from the county on vaccination.

Leave it outside, a cold shovel works better than a warm shovel.

If you got them on and you get too hot, you can always take some off. But if you don't have them on and get cold, then you are pretty much screwed.

I have plowed with graders, dozers, trucks and farm tractors, of all of them I like graders the best. There is no such thing as a 'rookie' when it comes to getting snow to move on. Whatever way you get it to move is good.

29 and snowing, going to 33 and may change to freezing rain or sleet this afternoon.

Hope your HVAC isn't too bad, Buppies.

Got my rounds split (19 pulls, Mostly) and sawed another load before dark, but ran out of time to completely fill up the porch rack.

Prayers for so many this morning.
