cold and wet out
finished another flat of flowers, starting to make good progress getting everything out of the house
into the greenhouse. I think I have an extended family of lady bugs living in the living room near all those plants.
I continue to watch the moonflowers pop up. Strangest plant I've grown from the strangest large seed.
so far germination has been good despite not soaking the seeds after knicking them. I just watered them well and that flat
got the preferred spot of sitting on the tray warmer. That adds ten degrees to the tray, now about 81 and those seedlings seem to like that a lot.
I just have to be careful to watch the watering on the heated parts, dries out faster.
Moonflowers are crinkly and cabbagey, very different.
will be fun to watch them grow. Every day they are up at least half an inch.
bush bean seedling under perfect conditions can grow almost an inch a day
that felt really good getting that done.
put a fresh propane bottle in the greenhouse.
I put that one in there 9am on Thursday.
still a tiny bit left in tank at 4pm today, which is 55 hours.
any sunny day now I can turn them off but nights in the low forties needs some help
