68°F and 1.03 inches rain. That’s 170.24 inches YTD with hours left.

Did get another couple hours mowing. Another couple left that area but will need to dry out some.

Canada Dave has been installing the Mighty Mule gate openers. DidN’t ask for assistance so giving berth. We did discuss placement of the solar panels and I started on a mast.

Nice small group Happy Hour

Prayers for all
Be Safe
Have a great day

Good morning! Low of 25°, heading up to 59° today. No precip here for about 40 days.....

We're hanging in there.... as best as can be. Another week of tests done.... the Dr. cancelled Dona's first chemo, had a blood infusion instead. Chemo rescheduled for Friday. Her pain is really gotten worse. This is hard.... pain meds aren't helping her too much anymore.....
They drained another 1350ml from her right lung. That makes a total of 3300ml drained out over 6 weeks. But.... she can breathe easier now.

We are taking it day by day, .....really minute by minute. That's all we can do.

Our daughter stopped by for a brief visit on Friday on her way down to the Giddings Tx area. We only had about 45 minutes to visit, Dona had an a dr's appointment to get to. Wish we had more time to spend together, but she was pressed for time.... driving from Bayfield Co to Giddings in one day... took them 15 hours.
I told her to wave in all directions at the "forum guys" when they got there. They are visiting her fiancé's family in the area until the 3rd. Looks like they're having good weather there now.

I hope everyone has a great day!
Prayers for Dona and family.
Thanks for sharing.
I asked my wife if she knew any daughters in law from CO. She knew of 1, but I don't believe a match.

I felt sorry and let snagglepuss in house last night. Afterawhile, she disappeared, and I found her asleep on our bed, so I layed with her awhile, and she curled up next to me. When wife came up, I put snagglepuss out in the garage. That’s when my wife found a tiny tick on our bed. No more snagglepuss in the house.
We put 1 of these on barn cat, and it seems to work.

My daughter's roommates have pets they don't care for properly. She bought them collars. They don't even let them out to do their business.

David I will watch your thread, thanks for sharing.

I would not be able to keep up with Della.

Got the auger motor in for the Pitt Boss, and it fixed it! Bought some pecan wood pellets, pork ribs and chicken leg and thigh quarters. Ate the quarters last night and we were too full to try the ribs. Re-heat them today with baked potatoes. It is so easy to "set it and forget it".
Happy NYE!
We will go to our church's party (which will last from about 6-9ish). Wifey is making Buffalo Chicken dip, dirty oreo pudding, I will make 6 or 7 layer Mexican dip.

Everyone drive safe if you travel. Cops will be looking for DWI offenders. Down here, not all, but most of the offenders are illegals nowadays.

Took advantage of the warm weather to do some mechanic work. Changed oil in my commuter car. Changed rear differential oil in the SUV. Need to change oil in SUV now. Transmission too.

Pork ribs came out great but seasoning had brown sugar in it and I prefer simple salt/pepper/onion and garlic powder. Maybe some Tony Chacheres.

Ready for a new year. But have been blessed last year. Y'all celebrate safely! And a good year to come.

Good Evening,
I say evening because the sunset awhile ago !

I had a good last day to this year ! I went over to visit LouNy down in Greenwich and had a nice chat earlier this afternoon! Lou gave me a nice tour of his parents old farm and of course what it looks like today ! So when Lou tells you his driveway is steep, you really need to believe him ! I was starting to wonder if I needed 4WD to go up it ! 😉

I though grandparents were supposed to load the g kids up on sugar and send them home all wound up for the parents?
Bill, that’s fine if your sending them home but when they are staying with you overnight, not such a good idea ! 😂
and that is a grandparent conundrum. You want to teach them to work, yet you want to give your kids payback.....
Dennis, my grandson actually had a good time loading up the split wood into my ATV ! I encourage them to work if they want to , I never tell them they have to ! A little work is good for them JMO !

A pic of Lou and myself, and some late afternoon work with my grandson! 🙏

Good New Years Day (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.7C and it's presently 25.7C, fairly clear & calm.

My Mate from Brisbane arrived safely so I now have a full house.

The hay was delivered around 1400; 10 rounds here. I drove the tractor over to the first delivery (maybe 10km away) and shedded 8 rounds. I'll leave stacking the rounds here until later as I've got my guests to attend to.

We did manage to stay up 'til midnight and truly 'ring in the New Year' as we all took turns ringing my house's bell... everyone's got a "house bell" don't they?

Today will be spent preparing for our trip to Strahan. Thursday, returning later Saturday. So I'll be away from TBN for a few days.

Happy New Year to you all.

That's about it, take care all.

Evening all;

As Scott said had an enjoyable visit today.

My wife mentioned it asking why I was so willing to show people a quick farm tour and I had to stop and think for a second. I guess it's just because it's the farm I grew up on and saw some many changes through the years. From a 40-50 cow dairy to over a 100 milkers, then a sudden transition from dairy to beef and then the settling in of beef. And the passing through of the generations my Grandfather to my father then to my brothers and now to my Nephew.
And heck I'll even throw in a plug for my Nephews Beef, if your looking for quality locally grow beef and your in the area;
Cattle Sales & All Natural Meat Delivery | Welcome to Marchaland Farms
can take care of you.

Just sitting here and letting my belt out a notch my wife and I went to a restaurant in town for dinner this evening, she brought half her chicken home and I ate all my prime rib and now to sit and relax.

Hope everyone has a good and Happy New Year
