Good Morning, GM Thread!

I woke up about 5am craving a sausage biscuit and hashbrowns from Whataburger. Had enough points on their App for a free order so went by and picked it up. It's showing 38F here now and supposed to be somewhere in the 50'sF this afternoon.

Thanks this is very hard
Prayers Buppies for you and Mrs. Buppies.

-3F partly cloudy sky low 20's for high.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...4 hours at part store afternoon not sure yet.

Enjoy your day all.
Glad to see you're still busy and working as you want Thomas! Haven't seen any reports on Boo lately. Hope everything is fine!

Reading a dealership bill is quite entertaining, if one wasn't paying for it...
suv goes back in next week for full detail, then it will be done.
As a old, retired insurance adjuster you probably can pick the fly specks out of the pepper on those dealership bills. Hope everything works out well on the RV trade out.

Vt, 6 to start going to 22 ! Sitting in front of the wood stove this morning with coffee ! Looks overcast now hopefully some sun later ! Kathleen and I watched a good movie last night although I can’t remember the name right now !
scott, when I saw that "6 degrees" I got chilled to the bones all they way down here in Texas.

Everyone have a great day and weekend! Stay warm and well-fed and happy.

Prayers for our Nation!

Good Morning!!!! 46F @ 6:30AM. Cloudy with occasional showers. High near 55F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
RNG have you tried Miso to salt foods?
Seems like the cancer inducing effect of salt is somehow reduced by the soy in Miso soup, Don. Soy is also rich in oxylate, and both oxylate and salt increase the risk of kidney stones. So Miso would be bad news for my personal health. Might be OK for others, though.

Once had to cut holes into the web of pieces of railroad track, Paul. Dulled several HSS and carbide drills trying to get a starter hole for the plasma cutter, but that steel was so hard it dulled both kinds. Just had to tough it out with the plasma, and struggled mightly with the blow back clogging the manual torch. There's probably a technique out there for this sort of thing, but that job is done and if I ever have to do anything like it I'll spend the time searching for it.

Yesterday I got the back of the van cleared out from the camping trip and mostly loaded for the trip north. There's rain coming in for tonight and most of tomorrow, so this morning I'll finish loading and get the trailer hitched back up. Depending on how much rain and where it falls, I might just leave Sunday instead of waiting for Monday. Or have to postpone to Tuesday.

Not sure what the rest of the day will bring, but hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Morning all, 10 going to 33 and sunny.
Worked day job and walked dog yesterday.
Hopefully get some energy and do stuff today.

Talked to my old boss in Sao Paulo - It's summer there and was 96f yesterday.
Talked to a coworker in Czechia - her kids were out of school today, more than 50% of the school was out sick so they shut down. Never heard of that before.

Buppies have you been able to find some help ? Prayers for you and Holly

Drew - happy shopping , hope you can find something that fits the needs.

Be well,

MiniBuck is much bigger and on his own now.

Tried to get picture of the planet alignment, best I could do with dog playing in the snow on the leash while phone in other hand.

67°F and 1.77 inches rain. We needed the rain.

Sophie likes her new glasses. Says she can even see the crack in her iPhone screen protector.

Somewhat frustrating afternoon. Adding a storage compartment to my Tundra bed. All went well until time to add the rivnuts. Of course not having the expensive tool may be a factor. Need a plan B

Hope wx allows me to get back to mowing. Questionable at this point

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

One way to set riv nuts without the fancy tool is a longer bolt of the same thread and a nut with a washer. Run the nut all the way up the bolt, add the washer, spin the riv nut onto the bolt for the full depth of the threads, turn the nut back down to the riv nut. Insert the assembly, hold the bolt head and turn the nut down using it to pull the bolt with the riv nut.

4 deg to start, now 27 deg. Just got past freezing yesterday far a short time at 34 deg.
Good Bkfst with the crew this morning.
Might do a sams club run, just to get turbotax. They have it on sale, same price as costco sale.
Will price some other things there also, get gas.

got tax files organized yesterday. I also need to go thru the file cabinet and clean out, although I keep the old files semi organized in boxes in the basement. Especially old vehicle records, I like to keep at least the sales sheet and window stickers. i have almost every bill for the last 40 yrs.
My advice to young people is to really really say do I really really need this before buying something. I of course thought I did , and have a house full of stuff that I no longer use.

buppies, hang in there. Just hope it gets better.

snaggle is out on porch wanting in.

had to look up what a riv nut was, not sure i ever used one.

Like the layout of the RV Drew, but does look big. Thanks for the chart, interesting. Numbers sold sure have dropped a lot overall.

Drew we love out Grand Design Imagine model 2020
this was one model that caught my eye due to the desk.
I'm on my laptop a lot while traveling so that setup is attractive.
but is it nice enough to give up the second couch?
I think Grand Design got a real blackeye from their problems with Lippert frames on extra heavy
fifth wheels. I don't think the travel trailers have issues, more than any of them.
Plus their trailers are better than average inside with better features.
real trick to me is if they use solid counters in the bathroom.
no more foil covered lumbercore.
I first try to find what is nice new, then see if someone is selling a three year old version since they got out of rv'ing.
