Good Tractor Morning,
Vt, 24 to start going to 36. Light snow just came then early this morning, it just stopped a few minutes ago.

We will be heading out hopefully no later than noon, so I can clean Kathleen’s car if I have enough day light when we get back to Ct. It’s dark by 4:30 or earlier.

Not much else going on other than cleaning up here and packing the car up.

Hope all have a relaxing and enjoyable Sunday 🙏

ahhhh, I can feel it, thanks Scott!

put up a dozen outdoor solar xmas lights along the driveway, not going to charge up much today
now snow is due in before it turns to rain, probably starting in an hour

Arly, you have the best snow pictures. Thanks for getting cold taking them.

got the rv ready to leave tomorrow, dropped it off its levelers, brought the awning in, which I only leave out about a
foot anyway but wanted to put it away dry. Leaving around 9am for friend's business where we will put the rv roof vent back on
in the comfort of his heated company garage. That's the plan, then off to park rv for the winter.

Christmas came early in 2018
if you don't already have it, I hope someday you all
get your dream tractor
this is what happens when you don't have a wife to say "really?"
particularly when I already had a wonderful Kubota
this one simply talked to me, and back then, this was an early model,
the whole loaded tractor (not the implements) was 50 grand. I believe it's at least 20k more now.

I was one happy fellow.

According to the weather guys/gals, we got 11" of snow. With the wind, it's hard to tell but it came down good since Fri night. I got out with the plow on my Polaris Ranger and pushed through some 3' drifts. Got the 300' drive cleared as good as I could see. Cab, heater and wiper is nice. My detached retina repair is okay according to the surgeon, but it made my cataract much worse so the right eye is basically useless, for now. 25mph winds now, blowing everything closed again, so I'll need to get back out later when it calms down.

My daughter (20 miles south of me) sent video of them all playing in the snow, getting sled pulls behind their 4 wheeler. They had loads of fun.

Ahhh, winter in Iowa.

Cool that you were able to make your own. If it ever happens again, and assuming the knife is Victorinox, you can pick up scales pretty inexpensively online.

I did see that, but honestly, it was another exercise (or excuse?) to use the printer. I have been making all sorts of things that didn’t need to be made just to gain proficiency for when its a necessary project.

I remember when you got that tractor Drew a lot of bang for the buck
I figured it was now/then or never. Enjoyed it for two years and then got sick.
but glad I tried and did versus not tried and always wondered...

light snow coming down, straight down, 35 out, not going to stick
will turn to rain later

snow almost always looks pretty
covers over the world and its problems, the soot and the grime
which reminded me, ordered a nice pair of insulated Carhhart snow gloves
on sale. That I try not to wreck my nice gloves, which are starting to look a little tired.
my car does not have a heated steering wheel, woe is me, so I'm back to wearing gloves.

Buppies, hope you can sit with Holly and watch the snow and share a warm drink.
warm cider, with a pinch of cinnamon and cloves, has lots of natural sugar for energy, one idea.
Hot chocolate is another.

too bad that printer can't do high strength stainless steel.
my cheapo plastic rv hose wrench snapped in half. I have another one but would like to
have one made of metal.
somehow have the impression 3D printed stuff would be less strong. ??

Morning all, 36 going to 44 and rain in the way.
Got the blower out and moved leaves finally as the wind calmed a bit.
Then off into town for a few hours to wander around and walk the bridge.
Later off to dog walk, was incredibly busy so came home.
More turkey :)
Then son and friends showed up for a bit and then went to the apartment so we could go to sleep.

Growing up in a family of artists, the connection back to the relatives is strong and welcome and something to pass down to the family for generations.
Too bad none of that creativity made it to me, but my son certainly has it.

Popgadget great you could repair that knife, I bought mine in Bern in 1983 and treasure it immensely.
I need to open my knife collection and make sure they are all cleaned and oiled. That could take days, might start selling some, need to find a way to value them.

Be well,

The CNC plasma cutter cuts metal, albeit in only 2 dimensions.
But parts can be milled or turned and welded to the 2D part.
Not as easy as printing them, but often doable.
