You mean the bucket size?

I have a new phone with a camera, so I am just starting to use it and not very well.

Yeah the bucket. It's not you, sometimes things just look different in a picture.

The rear remotes are significantly different than the OEM on the L40, don't know why.

Wow, your hose and routing are so much cleaner than mine. Mine kind of seems a rats nest in comparison.

At some point I may have a new hose or two made up and try to come up with a better configuration than the OEM kit they installed.

Are yours alway so clean or did you just wash it before the pic. Mine is wet with oil/dirt in various places esp around the tilt cylinder that I need to track down.

I wiped away the upper part of the cylinder to see what was going on, but if you look lower on the cylinder you can see what mine looks like after only a couple hours after having been washed. Seems to be seeping in a few different places around the couplers.

What's a good way to track down where fittings are weeping? Seems like there must be some clever way like spraying flour or something to have the seeps show up immediately before the oil spreads.

I think there are at least 3 places mine weeps around the rear couplers. Makes more mess than I care for.

To track down the source of weeping use Brakleen and compressed air to clean any existing residue, then use a paper shop towel strip and tape it in place over the suspect area, starting at the highest point and working this down until the leak is found.
Nice tractor, crappy hydro line routing by dealer....

I compared yours and my hose setups again and I really want to clean mine up when I get a chance. Even if I have to get a couple new hoses made up.

Is that the OEM TnT and did you put the 45 degree fittings on your top cylinder? Mine came with 90s.

Before you buy anything, just take some time and reroute the hoses that you have. I believe that you can get what you have to be fine, just takes more than 5 minutes to do it properly. ;)

Real nice looking machine. And WOW is all I can say about where the hard and soft line meet under the frame! How far does the hard line hang down without any protection? It most certainly is the Achilles heel of that setup. And, unfortunately I think even with the box surround that is going to cause problems for you and many others. If it were me I'd want to find a way to get all that rerouted so none of it hung down under the frame members. It might take some doing but once done it's not there to worry about. I remember shortly after getting my first Kioti I was digging test pits for the soil tech for my barn and as they walked not too far in front of me a small recently cut sapling hit just right and disconnected a QD under the floorboard near the right side step. I lost control of the pedals and could not control forward movement and da*m near ran the tech and my builder into the ground. I mention this because it has happened several times over the years to the point some of us designed and implemented a skid plate to protect from this occurring; AND it is in a way less accessible spot than what your pics reveal to be the case on your new tractor. You're not slamming anyone, you are being a contentious owner with reasonable concern. If you had not said anything and then ripped out the controls under your feet then you'd be called negligent for not knowing this was possible.... sometimes you can't please them all...:confused3:

the machine is a joy to run, and (ducking) I am not a huge fan of diesel exhaust so I appreciate how clean the engine runs. And I am glad I did not get a smaller tractor as I like being pretty aggressive with it. (Holding back a bit until it breaks in, though).

For folks that are going to be getting an L60 and want a 3rd function valve, if you are very handy (I am not) I would look at one in person and figure if there is a good way to mount an oftermarket valve and route the lines where you want.

All those exposed lines are because where K puts the valve itself (under the step) and wants all the hoses to join up on the outside of the FEL with the loader lines. I bet all that could be avoided, including those hard lines in the front bottom which are pretty exposed too.

I'd suggest getting the OEM rocker switch as I was told you can use the original loader knob which has a knockout for the 3rd function rocker in the latest version of the grand Ls. I like the look of the OEM knob better than the aftermarket ones, although maybe thats just me.

Of course I'll figure out what I can do with the existing hoses first. That is what I did so I could keep working yesterday, just rerouted the hose that was getting chewed.

If I could come up with something as clean as TripleR's that would be fine. Although mine has a fundamental difference in philosophy in that all the lines out have 90s in them. That is good that it keeps the lines in close, but bad in that it crams all the lines together. And there is no low that says I couldn't have a mix of 90 and straight right out of the back if I thought it would help.

What I should have said is when I get a chance to sit down and study the hoses (it's at a different property so I am only out there to work), if I can see a much cleaner setup that involves a hose length change or a fitting angle change I might do that.

Part of the challenge of course is that the back of the tractor is not static and changes with the TnT and 3ph being activated.

I know someone like you could tweak the setup without a thought. Me, it will take me some time to sit down and think about what could go where.

That picture was taken the day it was delivered and will never be that clean again though I will probably get the power washer out at some point, wash it now and an hour later it looks like it was never cleaned.

I have used baby powder to find leaks before they were really noticeable, but as mentioned you have to get them really clean first. Some cleaners are caustic to rubber and plastics, so read the label, I often use the new version of Gun Scrubber to clean around rubber or plastics.

Yes that is OEM the way it came from the dealer. My soon did a bit of rerouting to get the controls to work the way we like them, but I don't have a picture, you are right about sitting down and studying it as the first try created some rubbing during full lift and my son had to route a bit differently. 94BULLITT has OEM stuff on his which he installed, so you might check one of his threads.

I know next to nothing abut this stuff and have followed the advice of other members like MtnViewRanch, 94BULLITT, 4Shorts and others.

The dealer may have added the 90's unless the kit is different for a L60. Some protective sleeve may be nice to add to the hoses going to the box blade.

I can post a picture of how my hoses are routed currently if you think it will help.
