Re: Gotta dream vehicle? Here\'s mine...

I just did a quick search, and found a Panoz AIV for sale. A 1998 model with 1100 miles, they're asking $43,995. Too bad I don't have that much right now... Panoz AIV

It is just down the road from me...... If you buy it, I will store it for you until you retire and want to pick it up. I will even take it out for a ride once in a while to keep all the fluids excercised... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Here's a pic of my ultimate dream car: the Jaguar XJ220. It is in the color I love, too. It is so sleek, so elegant.

It only has a 3.5L V6, but this is no ordinary V6. It has twin turbos and huge intercoolers. It has 542HP and 473 ft. lbs. of torque. Like the name suggests, the top speed is near 220mph!

Yes, the ideal car for a Michigan resident, where the weather is decent enough maybe four months of the year to drive such a vehicle. I couldn't even afford the insurance premiums on that, let alone the payments.... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: Gotta dream vehicle? Here\'s mine...

you couldnt drive it on the road anyway. its not street legal in any state. thats a million dollar track car. this is why they dont make them anymore. i believe its because the bumpers are too low.

Re: Gotta dream vehicle? Here\'s mine...

There is a rare sports car I seen on TV, I cannot remember the name of it,there is only a handful of them World wide, they seated 3 people in the front and the driver was in the center(if my memory serves me right)George Harrison had one in his sports car collection.
Speaking of George Harrison it was 40 years ago today the Beatles performed on the Ed Sullivan show, anyone here see that show live when they performed ?It was there 1st concert ever in the US.

Yes, I saw it, but I was already almost 24 years old, and they didn't appeal to me -- then. It would be another 20 years or so until I got over the hype of the hair and the teenybopper stuff and really listened to their music, and realized what a fantastic talent they had...I also saw Elvis' first appearance, and nothing ever changed, I never did get to like him.

I thought Elvis could sing well and some of his movies were alright, but he never wrote a song and could hardly even play a guitar. He was a stage act and not a composer or a musician musician, but a good singer.
The fat Elvis was stuck in a rut, where as the Beatles broke up before they got in the rut. They got out while they were on top of there game.
I personally like Eric Clapton very well,he never stuck with one band very long he was always going to something new,he has endured well through the years and never fell in the rut like so many acts do and never lost his creatvity.

And I haven't realized it yet (unless you're talking about a talent for making money /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif). I never could stand the noise they made.

There were things I didn't like about Elvis, but I did like most of his music and think the guy had a good singing voice /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.
