Goverment buying up old tractor

He said you can't keep the old tractor you have to it take to the dealer where you are buying a new one ,the dealer has to destroy the old tractor.I think this for large tractors over 60 or 70 hp. I will try to call him next week to find out more about the program. ....

I did a search this afternoon, the only thing I found was from the EPA and New Jersey about funding to trade in old tractors. I could not find anything else.

OK I call John Deere dealer ,they said the grant was for Texas and had been going on for 2 or 3 years. Texas Emissions Reduction Plan (TERP) - Texas Commission on Environmental Quality - www.tceq.state.tx.us

John Deere dealer said you have to destroy the tractor yourself,the state send a inspector out to check it .They said the tractor has to be used 300hours a year. You have 90 days to buy a new tractor after you get the money.
