Grapple Grapple and 3rd Function control for Kioti DK40se

I don't have a grapple and I've never used one, but if I was buying one, I'd have a 3rd function kit added. If you'll be doing hrs of grapple work, having control on your FEL joystick will be worth every dime when compared to playing around with the remotes. I find the controls for the remotes un-ergonomic and a PITA to use, Kioti did a much better job on the CK series.

I'd never had a grapple either until I bought a 48 inch grapple form Wilkat attachments also known as Mid State Equipment. I paid less than $600 shipped to my residence. Now, let me be clear, I'm not saying it's as nice as the EA unit as they are different, one cylinder vs. Two etc. However, I am saying it's amazes me the things I've been able to do with it on my DK45. I've practically cleared three acres of overgrown primrose and sweet gum logs and the tractor was never in a bind. Best tool I have and I would never skimp on the $600 or so dollar difference it took to add the WR Long 3rd function valve. It's ergonomically comfortable and makes running the loader a breeze. Very comfortable.

I like my Igland brand GR-20 Log Grapple. I've lifted and carried huge logs, boulders, and entire trees with it and it is built solid as a rock. I cut my trees, use my Igland 4001 Winch to haul them to the tractor area and then use the grapple to move them to where I stack them on my landing. Igland makes all kind of serious log handling equipment in Norway/Finland, and are sold by dealer network throughout the US/ Canada, etc.. Check it out.
