True third function plus 60" grapple installed $2200.00 OTD

Reasonable? Fair?

Im being told the Grapple is $1000 of that. Which rings true from my research. I just have no concept of the Hydraulic third function part of the cost.

Photos are of the same parts as quoted to me that were being installed on one of their customers tractor in their shop today. I do not have details on manufacturer of the hydraulic third function stuff but figure someone might identify them. Grapple is clearly CID.

That appears to be a very lightweight grapple. What size tractor? Width of grapple?

The valve looks like WR Long to me, which is a well known, well trusted manufacturer (I have used two of them myself and am pleased). I have never seen that grapple before. Never saw one with teeth on the bottom and only bars on top in the middle. Am curious as to who is the maker. It is a different design than I am used to, but doesn't mean that it is cheap

My initial glance tells me the cylinder on that grapple looks to be in a horrible location to produce clamping force.

The EA 55" Wicked Grapple Rake features two cylinders, and their location, along with carefully engineered lid geometry, produces an incredible amount of clamping force.

The Product Video and Testing Video with our Kubota L6060(yes, Ted thoroughly tested it with a 60 horsepower tractor) really shows off it's impressive strength and clamping ability!

AR400 steel serrated tines for gripping and ripping, greaseable pivot points, removable lower runners, and it's 200 pound weight adds up to the best grapple on the market for a tractor like yours, hands down!

EA 55" Wicked Grapple Rake shipped to a business or freight terminal. No tax. $1595
Custom WR Long 3rd Function Kit(same as the one you pictured) $787 purchased with the grapple. Most people install them at home. $787

A little more $$, but it'll be worth it when you reap the benefits of our Wicked design!

That is the going rate for a third function install at a dealer. I bought a 72" double lid lightweight grapple for a $900.

Grapple is a rake type Grapple for brush piling and loading. This appears to be it as best I can tell. Not much detail on it even at their own site. Nothing about the cylinder but I think Ill contact them direct. It looked decent in person for its purpose. It is indeed designed for small tractors. Compact Tractor Grapple Rake - CID Attachments

Im even more interested in the actual third function stuff. Because I could get any Grapple once I had that. My tractor has the quick connect skid steer type bucket attachment system. So most would perform but they have to be light to a degree as my loader capacity is about 1600 pounds and tractor like 24.5 HP.

Excellent. That helps.

Do you recognize his supplier? Look like yours?

Definiately worth considering and very competitive. Thanks for that comparison. Nice unit.

The tractor it would go on is my 2610h which is rated at 24.5 Hp and has about a 1250 pound lift rated FEL. The grapple is 60" wide

1600 is a high number. Rated lift capacity is a crucial number to know, and if you have a KL2610 loader on your 2610, it's rated at 1252 pounds at the pins where your quick attach assembly attaches to the loader.
The lift capacity lowers every inch beyond that point, so grapple weight is equally as crucial.

My pleasure!
It's a highly function work of art, and it has quickly became one of our best selling models!

This customer with a CK35 loves his Wicked 55.

With a 36" wide opening, it'll even carry his bucket around!

We've sold MANY of them for the Kubota B2650, which has a very comparable lift capacity!

View attachment 530675View attachment 530674I had the dealer instal my grapple. It was $1200 for the WR Long third function valve and installation. The grapple itself was $3200 for a Land Pride SGC 1560. Its a considerably heavier unit - 820# - than you have pictured but it also went on a much larger tractor.

I would definitely determine what brand of third function valve they are installing for $1200. For that price it had better be a WR Long or equal.

OK - so I tip-toed out and got a couple pics of my WR Long unit so you can compare it to yours.

Well - so much for being super crafty. At least I was able to upload the pics.

yes.. sorry I spit out the lift capacity for the 3 point hitch instead of the FEL. 1250 is right for the FEL.

My point I was trying to make when I miss stated that number was I intended to emphasize that I had little in the way of lift capacity to waste on weight of the implement. And thats doubly so with correct numbers. So yes... a 200 pound implement is ideal.

I am putting together a set up to grab, stack and move cut small saplings and little pine trees of say 5 feet tall and similar cedars as I cut them out. Ones of bigger than say 2 -3" diameter trunks.

That sure looks a lot like this one for sure... but I didn't take a picture of the front plate. At least not a good one. Ill see if I can manipulate the picture I took and read the front.

Thanks!

Added upon closer inspection.. It does say LONG on the side of it. Now mind you, this one I took pictures of was not a Kioti install. You can see its a McCorrmick. And according to the dealer there is a model specific one for my Kioti 2610. This one they were having to custom make up some of the brackets for it due to no specific model for this particular tractor that I took these pictures of.

So going rate then is about $1200 for a good dealer installed third function. Or as noted as low as about $800 for a do it yourself set up.

We offer the same WR Long kit with a custom valve mount, properly sized fittings and hoses along with the same replacement joystick handle for $837... or...even better... $787 when you buy it with a Wicked Grapple!

Yes sir. 100% truth.
This is why our Wicked 55 is the best choice for any small compact(like your Kioti and the Kubota B Series) or subcompact tractor(Kioti CS, Kubota BX, JD 1025R).

You will not be able to distinguish the feeling of driving around with your bucket installed vs the Wicked Grapple when it comes to agility, but the difference in ability will be HUGE!!

The EA light weight 55 inch was a great match for my little 25hp machine.
I got the grapple and 3rd function package deal and installed it myself.
The detailed instructions makes it pretty easy.
