Got the grapple yesterday.
It will be the weekend before I can install it.
Here is a picture of it in its shipping crate.

Here is the contents of the box that came with it.
I will probably get this thing installed by sunday.
It's taking a lot of will-power not to take a day off work to
uh "work" on this.

Any idea if it will work on a BX2200? Also, what was the cost on this add-on?

Bernie, could you explain how the grapple is plumbed for hydraulics? Not really addressed on their website.

Yes I do believe that it will fit a BX2200 as this model is mentioned in the intructions for the first generation grapple.(see below)

RichT
Originally the grapple was operated with a valve that was plumbed in with the loader valve hydraulics but because of a bunch of stuff I don't understand enough to explain properly (power beyond valves and all that) the grapple would not get full system pressure untill you used another operation with the loader valve. Eg. you would simultaneously close the grapple and lift the bucket. Wich is certainly do-able with the valve spaced closely enough together. I brought up the option of using a diverter valve on the bucket curl circuit, Jeff liked the idea and it also eliminated a lot of hydraulic hose and the problem of making a valve bracket for the BX23. Jeff has a BX22 and Kubota changed how the loader and control valve mount to the tractor between the 22 and 23., The nearest Bx 23 to him is about 40 minutes it was a real pain to try and get to the dealer and make measurements during working hours. Now the diverter valve(Actually there are two vavles) mount to the loader cross bar and a wire is run back to a switch. When the switch is depressed hydraulic pressure is diverted from the bucket cylinder to the grapple cylinder.
Right now I am working with Jeff to verify the new instructions
and am taking a lot of pictures. I plan to put it all in an install thread when I get it done, hopefully by Sunday evening. If I get it done and it's not rainging I am not going to be sitting here in front of the computer while its daylight /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh
I believe the price that is on the website of 1249.00 is what it's going to be. Plus shipping, its shipping weight was 140 lbs and it was about, rough estimate, 50x30 inches. I work for a LTL trucking company so I got a discount, anbd I picked it up at my terminal (you would think I could get it for free but the bean counters don't like that kind of thing /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
