I bought mine from borgford, built very heavy. No way I could tear it up with my tractor.

Borgford

I broke mine with my L39. Had to reweld top teeth. Bottoms stand up well, but I will have to have the tips hardfaced someday soon.

Borgford is a good grapple but big bucks considering what's out there.

My Kubota has a 'Skid Steer Quick Adapter' - is that the same as a 'Universal QA Adapter'? I found them on the web - do you have to order direct or are there dealers? Looks very promising!

-Brian

I am not a Kubota owner so don't know for certain but usually when a company calls something "skid steer adapter" that is synonymous with "universal quick attach adapter".

I bought a vernig grapple bucket earlier this year and have been VERY pleased with it. It saved me so much time that I can't even begin to think how long it would have taken me without it.

When I finally get my tractor I want to get a stand-alone grapple as opposed to a bolt or weld-on bucket attachment. I have looked at the Quick Claw on Skid Steer and Compact Loader Attachments - Attachments Direct, Inc.. But the 72" model is $3400. I had looked at their Eagle Talon as well but that is $5000. I will have to check out the Millonzi.

I have been trading emails with a representative from Millonzi. I have to do more research to see what is involved in adding the appropriate hydraulics but the prices are much more reasonable. Their smallest unit, 48" wide, is about $1k. It goes up from there and (possibly) adds complexity with independent arms, etc.

Again, millonzi sold me one - 48 - for $645. Getting it shipped now. Of course, the shipping took it up to near 1k, but still seems cheap at the price. They've been really nice people to deal with - every time I call I end up chatting with the president. Pretty impressive for a small order.

They have a dealer somewhere in NY, but none near me, so shipping was the only way to go. I gather it would have been cheaper if I could have picked it up at a depot.

That's great to know, Charlesaf3! I'm interested to hear how you like it. I don't see right now how anything bigger would be an advantage for what I need to do, or the independent arms.

Sure thing - you've got a much bigger tractor, so could probably handle one of the wider ones...

But I bought it after seeing Island Tractors posts and pics on this site - truly impressive the amount of junk he's lifted with it, with a tractor that I think is roughly the size of the b3030?

I e-mailed Millonzi today. Their 72" heavy-duty grapple goes for something in the neighborhood of $2,800.00. That's about the size I would like:) . . .but not necessarily the price I would like:( .

You don't need their "heavy duty" grapple. Their light weight grapples are more than up to any task of brush removal and similar work. If you are using it for construction demo on commercial projects you might need the heavy duty version but for agricultural use the "light duty" grapple has been more than adequate for me. Also, while a larger loader can certainly have a bigger grapple, you can grapple a huge amount into the 48 inch Millonzi. I've posted a number of photos showing anything from whole trees to yards of brambles crushed into the grapple.
