I always travel in reverse with loads like that, it solves two problems, being able to see where you are going and dropping stuff and running over it.

Yup, that works too. A tad awkward to be twisted around for very long but it works.
Sure glad that I don't have to do the twist!

I just look at the monitor and pull the reverse lever.

On the way to the scrap yard. Firewood is down, so the grapple will be out away for the winter soon.

Using Grapple to Spread Gravel

I was going to post this in "Today's Seat Time", but I think this thread is more appropriate. My grapple bucket is definitely my most used and versatile implement. Whenever I mess with woods and brush, my WR Long OBG-72 and Stihl MS390 are the tools of choice!! When putting in the construction driveway, I didn't want to bring my GP bucket to the site and the landscape rake wasn't close by. Although, I have used the grapple to rake up debris before, I never really thought of it as a grading and leveling tool. Well, it worked like a champ!! I've had it going on six years now and this is the first time that I have used it for grading. Once I get all the stumps out and get the rough grading done with the CAT 963, I will go back over with the grapple bucket to finish it off rather than using the box blade.

Loading Firewood with Grapple

I didn't know we could only attach one video to a post. Here is another video of my grapple being used to load firewood.

Great video, Hawk. The grapple did a nice job on the #3 construction stone. I think a box blade might have trouble handling stone that size, although I've never tried.

84" Lofflin grapple, it's gotta be about 14-15 years old now.
